Dylan and I went back from watching the game and went up to my room falling asleep in each others arms as soon as possible.
The next day Dylan didn't have a game or a practice, so we spent from 11 am to 3:30 pm watching movies, and we went into the garage and took some shots on the empty net, just talking and goofing around.
"I will kick your ass in this game." I told Dylan as we went down to the garage after dinner.
"Nah baby, you may have kicked my ass earlier but now I've got energy. And I know all your tricks...And I let you win!" I laughed and put my arm around Dylan's shoulder.
"That's not what you said earlier. I won, fair and square. You just can't admit it. The girl you love, and who cannot play hockey to save her life, beat Team Canada's WJC Captain, in a game of open net shoot out." I said smirking as we picked up our sticks again. We kept warming up with shots for a bit until we decided that we'd start playing again. Before we could get to far in the game there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" I yelled letting my parents know that well, I'd get the door. I dropped the hockey stick and ran out of the basement and to the door. I opened it to see one of Dylan's teammates on both the WJC team, but also the Erie Otters, Taylor Raddysh. Allie also likes to make jokes about his last name, which I pretend to not find funny but they're so bad they are funny.
"Hey Taylor whats up?" I asked as I let him into my humble home.
"Nothing, I wanted to just stop by and see if Dylan has my tape. Do you know if he does?" He asked.
"Um, he might?" I questioned. "Here come on we were just in the garage you can come with to ask him." I said. He followed me down to the garage.
"Taylor!" Dylan almost yelled, causing Taylor and I to laugh at him, as he ran toward him.
"I saw you yesterday, Stromer." Taylor complained. Dylan jumped on Taylor causing me to laugh even more.
"You're just happy it's not you for once." Dylan said. I nodded.
"Okay I need to go, but I just came by to see if you had my tape still?" Taylor asked. Dylan got off of him and went over to his hockey bag, digging through it and pulled out Taylor's tape. Taylor then said his thank you and goodbye and left the house. Dylan and I continued playing for maybe 15 more minutes. We went back into my room and just sat on my bed scrolling through our Instagram or twitter feeds, occasionally snapchatting too, again for about 15 or 20 minutes. I stood up and went to the bathroom to have a shower quickly and it took about 20 minutes again to take the shower, dry off and get back into my bedroom.
"You take a really long time." Dylan said as he opened his arms for me.
"Yup." I said popping the 'p' and crawling into his arms to cuddle.
"Your hair smells good." I laughed.
"Maybe because I just rolled in horse shit?" I said sarcastically.
"Hahaha very funny." Dylan replied. "Can you ever just take a compliment and say thank you instead of being sarcastic about it? Or rude." I laughed sarcastically.
"Nope. How long have you known me? You should know this" I said. We continued to just talk for a long time. we fell asleep in each others arms around 12.
"Sam, Dylan, Luke, Olivia!" My mom called from downstairs. Luke is my brother and Olivia is his girlfriend, who also stays over at our house a lot. "Breakfast is ready!" She finished. Dylan got out of bed and grabbed my arm pulling me up too.
"Come on! I'm hungry!" He said pulling me up out of the bed and dragging me downstairs. We sat at the table across from Luke and Olivia, with mine and Luke's parents at both heads of the table. The bacon and fried eggs smelt super good.
