Rhian's POV
Is she Flash woman or something? I just went outside to answer a phone call from my manager pagbalik ko sa loob ng café, nawala na siya agad. I wanted to ask her pa sana if she had a ride home. It's late and the terminal's quite far. Mag-ooffer sana ako na ihatid siya if wala. Oh well, sa bilis niyang nakaalis, she probably had one.
It's getting late. I really should get going cause l still have to drive for about an hour to our rest house sa Batangas where I'll be staying for a week.
Good thing the road is well lit. It'd prolly look really creepy and dangerous if it wasn't.
It wasn't long after I started driving when I saw someone walking down the road. I squinted my eyes to get a better vision of the figure. It's a woman. A familiar looking one.
Glaiza? Well, that answers my question. It's obvious she didn't have a car with her. Anong plano niya? lakarin ang terminal? eh ang layo nun ah.
I slowed my car as I was nearing her and opened the passenger's side window.
"Hey Glaiza" I called her while I continue to drive slowly beside her.
"Ms. Rhian?" she halted and asked.
I instantly stopped the car and turned the light on inside so she can see me clearly. As soon as i did, recognition showed in her face.
"Ay Ms. Rhian Ramos! sabi na nga ba ikaw yan eh" she chirped and the corners of her lips turned upwards.
"Ms. Rhian Ramos talaga, Glaiza? Ilang minuto pa lang tayong nagkahiwalay bumalik na agad yang "miss" at "po" mo. I told you, just call me Rhi nga." I answered and smiled back at her kaya napakamot siya ng ulo at ngumisi.
"Hehe. sensya na Rhian." she shyly smiled.
"So Glaiza are you planning to walk all the way to the terminal? ang layo layo kaya nun" I pointed out.
"Oo. Pero di naman siguro.. mga 15 mins. lang naman ata papuntang sakayan. Sisiw lang yun"
"I do not doubt your ability to walk that far pero it's already getting late, mapanganib dito and anlamig na. Sumabay ka na lang sa akin. I'll give you a ride home" I offered.
"Salamat nalang Rhi pero sobra sobra na ang abala ko sayo at isa pa anlayo pa ng uuwian ko kaya wag na" she politely refused.
"But I insist, hindi mapapanatag ang loob ko pag hinayaan kitang maglakad sa lugar na to sa ganitong oras. Sige na Glaiza.. puhleeeaaase" I said, more likely pleaded.
I hope my charm works on her. It's for her own good. And if she refuses my offer I know for a fact that I won't have the heart to leave her. You know, as a woman myself, I know how dangerous it can be being alone at night.
"Uhm..Ah eh.." She hesitates. "Sige na nga." she said, finally giving in.
I breathe out a small sigh of relief.
"Pero sa Nasugbu Batangas pa ko eh, kahit sa sakayan mo na lang ako ibaba" she adds.
"Really? Batangas ka rin? That's great! Wag na sa sakayan, ihahatid na kita sa house niyo, that's where I'm staying too. You know, I mean somewhere in Nasugbu. Kaya hop in, wag ka nang mahiya" I tolfd her as I opened the passenger seat's door.
"Sigurado ka ba talaga Ms. Rhian? ang laki laki na ng utang ko sayo" tanong naman nya na halatang nahihiya na naman but thank goodness sumakay na siya.
"First, Rhi or Rhian nga lang. Second, wala akong nililista na utang mo. Third, okay lang talaga and iisang lugar lang naman pupuntahan natin eh so it's not a hassle. no worries" I tell her while I pull her seat belt and fastened it. I noticed the blush that was forming in her cheeks.
