RHIAN'S POV

"Finally, my love. Finally" I told Glaiza before I pressed my lips on hers.

"Oo, mahal ko. Sa wakas." Our eyes were filled with tears, not of sadness but of intense happiness.

We both kissed our children and held them in a big and tight embrace.

"Happy New Year indeed." I said, ecstatic.

JANUARY 1, 2020. LOVE FINALLY WINS. The Philippine President signs bill, now law, allowing marriage equality, legalizing and granting equal rights to same sex unions.

The news came out at lunch time and our hearts can't contain the joy. Love was definitely in the air. It felt like Christmas morning, New Year fireworks, birthdays, sweet Valentine's kind of feeling. All of us are crying and hugging and kissing each other. Some of our families and friends who aren't here in the Philippines immediately called to congratulate us. Our parents and barkada, Angge, Chynna, Kean, Gee, Richard with Sarah to whom he is married now, and Zion all went to our house to greet and celebrate with us.

"Ako na, wubb" I told Glai. She handed me the lipstick before she properly sat on the edge of the table, facing me.

After the news came out, we decided to have an impromptu photoshoot with our friends on the rooftop, during sunset before we join the night pride parade later. Obviously, the theme of the shoot will be #LoveWins.

I was about to apply lipstick on her lower lip when I felt Glai's heavy stare.

"Love, why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.

She shrugged and smiled.

"Wala. Wala lang naman.."

"You sure I don't look funny or have anything on my face?" I questioned her again and looked at her scrutinizingly.

She shook her head. But to be sure, I checked my face on the mirror, in front of me. Mukhang wala nga naman.

"Walang mali, MK. Namamangha pa rin siguro ako hanggang ngayon... mukha ka pa rin kasing dyosa. You're very beautiful, misis ko." she whispered.

I softly pinched her nose and brought my lips to her lips. It was slow and sensual before I felt both of her hands rest on my waist that gently pulled me closer to her body. Before the kiss gets really deeper, we both stopped but she gave me another peck before releasing me.

The corners of her mouth turned up, one that reaches her eyes and I can't help but to smile back.

"You just wanted to kiss me, right? Nambola ka pa... Sus. You are equally beautiful and gorgeous too, wifey" I pointed out.

"Never naman kitang binola ah.. Kasalanan ko bang irresistable ka, mahal ko? hehe. Tsaka ako maganda lang, ikaw dyosa. Basta mas maganda ka talaga. Period. I love you" she emphasized.

I leaned to give her another breathtaking kiss.

"Ayeee. Kilig naman. Thanks, love love. I love you too. Now stop distracting me wifey. I don't want to keep them waiting.."

"Yes boss." she replied and gave me a salute.

"Mahal Ko, selfie tayo" G said after the mini photoshoot finished.

She placed her arm around my waist so we're really close to each other while her other hand held the phone up. We both pouted as if we're about to kiss as she takes a snap.

"Sa phone ko naman wubb" I told her. And this time, we really did kiss in the photo.
