"Hey, Judal! Enough hitting!"

Judal's hitting attempt was fake of course. Alibaba hardly felt any pain.

But he was laughing instead. He was happy. Too happy.

Judal, probably believe that the other hurt, stopped his rampage.

"Hey, Alibaba why were you yelling at that fat king in the morning?"

"Ah... right.... you didn't know... well you see I run away from here..."

"Oh? So that's why I never heard from you even though Kou and Balbadd were in good terms. So where were you?"

"In Qishan. I worked as a carrier."

"A prince becoming a carrier? Now that's what you call a change of carrier!!"

Judal burst out laughing. Alibaba forgot his sorrow for a bit and started laughing too. Looking back in his life while Judal made fun of it.... was kinda refreshing....

"So then after I worked for some years, I met a strange brat! And he had this flute that a djinn came out!"

"Hah? Only a magi can do that? Are you kidding!?"

"I am not! And we went to the 7th dungeon of Amon together!"

"Eh? Amon? You did? How did you come out?"

"Hehe! Hear and be surprised! I conquered it!"

"...Eh....?"

Judal's face turned pale. Alibaba looked over at him confused.

"What's wrong Judal? Is something wrong?"

"...Uh....nothing..... So you are a dungeon capturer heh!"

"Hey, Judal, why did you turn pale?"

"Oh, right. I never mentioned, eh? That dungeon. It was my dungeon. And... when I learnt a person I didn't approve of was gonna conquer it I destroyed it... You guys probably got caught up in all the panic, right?"

"Eh? That was your doing!? Now that you mention it we never found out how that happened...."

"Kinda sorry for back then..."

"So you wanted to say sorry through the story? That's actually interesting in its own way. I didn't know Judal had such a cute side to him."

"Sh-shut up! Anyway moving on!!"

"Hehe! You didn't imagine I would become one, right?"

"Actually...I did...But you should have just told me and I would take you there... This makes me kinda jealous, haha!"

Judal put on a brave smile.

Alibaba learnt earlier that day that Magis choose kings.

He understood what Judal meant. He felt kinda guilty.

"Sorry... I didn't know that. Let's go capture one together next time!"

"Really!??"

Judal said with sparkly eyes.

"Yeah."

Alibaba smiled and patted his head gently.

"Hihi! I missed you Alibaba! I really did! I am glad to see you are safe!"

"I missed you too Judal. So you became a priest of Kou, heh..."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing... Just for me right now... Kou is the enemy...."

"...I see... so this time around we are enemies...."

"Ah...No...! J-judal, you are my friend! I would never be able to fight you but..."

"It's okay. Too bad~ I wanted to have fun like the old times. Maybe I expected too much..."

"Judal....sorry....But I have to do this for my country...."

"Hmm....I got it... Then the next time we meet we are gonna be enemies."

"Judal. There's no way you will come over to my side? Leave Kou empire behind and-"

"Oi! Stop this! This sounds like a marriage proposal it's embarrassing!!"

"It's a story, right? You were the one who wanted to pass time, right?"

"B-but this is embarrassing!!"

"Judal, let's continue. This time, interrupt me inside the story."

"Alibaba! Sorry. I don't have the freedom to do that! Please, just don't stand against me when Al Thamen is there. Then I can at least pretend to hurt you and I won't...."

"Judal...Are you still prisoned by them?"

"Yes... didn't I tell you? I will never be free... So at least let me be true to you when we are alone!"

"You don't even have to ask me. Of course."

They both smirked at each other.

This felt like yet another good bye.

But this time, they both wanted to believe it wouldn't be as long as the last one....
