Self conscious

Judal's room was nothing extravagant. Just your an average room you would find in a village.

Both Alibaba and Hakuryuu were surprised by the fact that Judal could leave in this "normal" room. Especially Hakuryuu was astounded. Alibaba figured out quite fast that even during their trip together Judal had gotten used to living with just the necessities.... Unlike at first...

Judal clicked his tongue again and sighed.

"It's pretty obvious what you are thinking so I will go ahead and explain that YES I HAVE GOTTEN USED TO THIS!"

"Y-yeah.... we get it...."

"Anyways you probably have already shared your stories with each other so I will go ahead and add my part of the story, then I am hearing yours Hakuryuu."

"Yeah."

"Wait! What about me? Don't you wanna hear my story!?"

"I already know most of your story so shut up!" Judal was still angry and flustered and that was obvious in his tone. That's why Alibaba decided not to pursue the matter farther.

All three of them explained what had happened to each one of them during these 3 years.

"Ah.... I get it I get it! Well that's far enough with story telling. I am honestly really tired right now and you guys are probably tired too due to the journey so let's sleep. I will show you to the guest room."

"Can I sleep with you!!!?" Alibaba blurted all enthusiastic.

Hakuryuu could only chuckle at that.

"Indeed, sleeping in the same room with Alibaba-dono, I feel a bit uncomfortable, so you sleep with him Judal."

"Hakuryuu!?"

"It's your king's order. You better comply."

"Ugh...."

"Hakuryuu!!!! You are such a nice guy!!!!"

Judal showed Hakuryuu to the guest room all through his annoyance and then returned back to his room with Alibaba.

Now a very awkward silence was up in the air. That was normal these two haven't gotten to be alone since they rode on the Mother Dragon.

"Uum.... so I guess.... we should sleep?"

"Y-yeah... let's do that...."

Judal climbed on the bed and lied down next to Alibaba, his heart beating at least 10 times per second....

Alibaba was in no better position though, his heart was going all pitter patter like it wanted to dance.

They did do their best to sleep though. They turned their backs to each other, tried to use up as little space as possible and first and foremost tried to calm their breaths down.

Well neither of the above had any effect though, because all the tiredness that was there moments ago was long gone and they were way to self conscious of each other.

This situation kept going on for at least an hour and no improvement was made. Until in the end, Judal snapped. He sat up abruptly glanced over at the blond to figure out if he is asleep or not and upon finding him awake he started mumbling angrily.

"We can't sleep like this!!!"

"I....I guess you are right...."

"That's why I didn't want to sleep together!!"

"Haha..... Hey, Judal...."

"What?"

".....we are still l-l-l-lovers.... right....?"

"W-well I guess yes.... I don't remember us breaking up or anything...."

"It's been a year, huh...."

"Since what?"

"Since I last talked to you."

"Oh I see.... By the way, how come it took you such a long time to figure out what my letter said?"

"What letter?"

"Hah!? I left you a letter before leaving! And I even said I had this one place I wanna go to clear things up! I had mentioned it in my trip so I was pretty sure you would realise it was my hometown I was talking about!"

"You.... never left a letter though?"

"Ehh!? I did! Don't tell me.... did that old geezer, Yunan forget to give it to you!?"

"But I did ask him if you had left something behind...."

"So he just teared it up or something, huh..... How infuriating..."

"Haha.... well I did find you though so all is good in the end."

"Ah.... I guess so...."

Alibaba had sat up too by now. And they were sitting on the bed, their backs resting on one's another.

"Judal, I want to make it official."

"Eh? What?"

"That we are dating."

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO THAT FAR RIGHT!?"

"Yes. But I want to. So... when we return to Kou, can we announce it?"

"Better yet why not go jump off a cliff!?"

"Why are you so against it?"

".....you know... back then it was just the two of us, so I get why why we started dating and why you fell in love with me and things but now we are back to our world and there's a ton of your beloved women... so you don't need to be with me, right?"

Alibaba turned around. The magi's back looked lonely once again. But it also looked more grown up. He realised very well that his words were serious. The previous him would surely laugh if he saw himself being so considerate and actually thinking things through. Alibaba realised this was his decision after much thought.

He let his hands embrace the older male from behind and rested his head on his shoulder, avoiding for the time being his eyes.

"I doubt I will ever find someone like Judal though..."

"I don't have something that special on me. Also.... I am a magi and a man so I can't make you....you know.....children....."

Judal had turned his head as far away as he could, but the faint red that painted even his ears was evident enough to the former prince.

Alibaba smiled tenderly and shuffled the blackhead's hair gently.

"Judal is the most childish, yet the more smart person I have ever met. I did some thinking myself you know. I do not love you out of pity or sympathy. I believe that you, as my polar opposite, will make me happy. I can fawn over you and you will get angry, I can ignore you and you will start sulking. How strange it is that our fights and bickering have started looking so alluring to me.... Also, I do not need children. I will make do with you."

The color on Judal's face grew deeper and deeper with every word that escaped Alibaba's mouth. This was beyond cute.

"I like it too.... our bickering and our arguments... and I always have fun when you are near...."

Alibaba forced Judal to looked at him. As crimson red stared into golden brown, the blond pulled the other in a deep kiss... Their tongues interwinning playfully, exploring each other's mouth, each other's soul and at the same time wishing each other good night.

It was a heated kiss, that's without a doubt. But it cooled them down letting them drift off gently to sleep just like that, in each other's embrace........
