"There's a guest bedroom down the hall if you want to stay there for the night." Christine told James when it started getting late. He thanked them for letting him stay before walking down the hall.

Erik stood from the couch and walked  towards his bedroom. Christine followed him and sat on the bed. "I haven't seen my father in 24 years. He left when I was one." Erik said and Christine looked at him pitifully.

Erik got his night clothes and walked into the chamber room to change. Once he was finished he walked into the bedroom. Christine had already changed into her nightgown when he entered the room.

Erik pulled Christine into his arms and sighed. "I love you. I love you so much." He whispered and Christine kissed his lips softly.

"Shh, love. I know, I love you too, Erik. Are you ok, my angel?" Christine asked and Erik nodded. Christine got into bed and patted the spot next to her.

Erik stared at the ceiling for a while that night. Christine was sleeping with her head on his chest like she did every night. Erik looked down at his wife sleeping beside him and sighed. Christine's eyes slowly fluttered open and she looked up at her husband.

"What time is it?" She asked quietly and Erik grabbed his pocket watch from the nightstand.

"2:00, go back to sleep." Erik replied.

"Erik, you haven't slept all night, have you?" She asked and he shook his head. He couldn't seem to fall asleep. "You need sleep. And so do I. I'll see you in the morning."

Erik knew Christine was right so he attempted to fall asleep. It took a while, but eventually he fell asleep.

---------------------------------------------------------

Erik woke up before Christine and walked into the kitchen. He was making breakfast when he heard his father walk into the room. "Good morning, Erik."

Erik didn't reply because he had questions. "Why did you all of a sudden want to know about me?" He asked and James sighed.

"I spoke to your mother," James started and Erik cringed. "She's dying, Erik."

"Serves her right." Erik muttered to himself as Christine walked in

"She wanted me to try to contact all of her kids that were still alive." James finished. Christine walked up to Erik and kissed his cheek lightly. Erik pulled her into his arms and kept her there.

"So do you really care then?" Erik asked his father.

"I was a really bad father, Erik. When I found out that you were still alive I got so happy." Erik nodded and let Christine out of his embrace. She looked at the calender then back at Erik.

"You have a meeting this morning, Erik." She said breaking the awkward silence. Erik sighed and finished breakfast. "I love running the opera house. But I must say, I hate these godawful meetings. And I have to lead them! Not to mention the fact that Raoul will be there!" Erik yells and Christine sighs. James looks confused, mostly because he has no idea who Raoul is.

"Pardon me, but who is Raoul?"

"The fop," Erik muttered under his breath. Christine slapped his shoulder and gave him a look. "The Vicomte De Changy." Erik corrected himself.

"Why do you hate him?" James pried on. Erik laughed his phantom laugh and ran a hand through his hair. He turned to Christine to let her answer.

"He was my ex fiancé. I was in love with him before I was in love with Erik. They're not exactly on the best terms. Erik tried to, erm, hang him." Christine explained and James looked mortified. Finding out that your son was a murderer isn't exactly the best thing.
