{4 months later}

"I swear I look like I'm eight months pregnant, when I'm only four." Christine said as she looked at herself in the mirror. Erik stood behind her and shrugged.

"You're pregnant with twins, what can you expect?" Erik asked and Christine nodded as she sat down on the bed to put her shoes on. "Do you need help?" He asked when she struggled. Christine nodded and Erik kneeled down and helped her put her shoes on. Then he helped her up from the bed and then down the stairs.

"I can do things by myself." Christine promised as he put her coat on for her. Erik shook his head as he lifted up his son and carried him outside to find a carriage. Erik paid the driver before helping his wife in and then placing his son in too. After that, he got in with them.

Once they arrived, Erik helped them out of the carriage and led them inside the concert hall. They had finished Swan Lake and had gotten good reviews. Now they had to discuss what they should do next. "We should just do a concert." Erik said a few minutes into the brief meeting. Christine stood off to the side with Gustave. Meg came running over and hugged her tight.

"Are you excited, Chrissy?" Meg asked as Christine rubbed her stomach.

"I am, but I'm also a little nervous. And honestly, I'm just ready for them to come out. I want to be able to do things by myself again." Christine said just as the meeting finished.

Christine laid in the bed and stared at the ceiling as she waited for her husband to get done showering. Then she would have some company. Erik finally entered the room with his undergarments on. He slipped on sweatpants before sitting beside Christine on the bed.

"What can I do for you, my love?" Erik asked after kissing her for a few seconds.

"Can you rub my feet, darling?" Christine asked and Erik nodded and moved so he could rub her swollen feet. She relaxed and let her eyes close. After a few minutes, Erik got in bed beside her and placed kisses onto her stomach.

"I love you, my little angels." Erik whispered and Christine smiled and ran her hand through his jet black hair. Erik laid his head on his pillow and he was about to fall asleep until Christine spoke up.

"Are we going to Dr.Moreau tomorrow for my check up?" Christine asked and Erik nodded before letting himself fall asleep. It only felt like a few minutes, when he woke up to his son poking his cheek.

"Is it morning, Gustave?"

"Yes, Papa. I'm hungry, will you make me pancakes for breakfast?" The little boy asked and Erik sat up in bed.

"Of course. Come on, my treasure." Erik said as he climbed out of bed and put a shirt on. He walked downstairs with Gustave on his hip and carried him to the kitchen. "Sit down, I'll get started on those pancakes." Erik said and he got out the ingredients and began making them.

Christine came into the kitchen kitchen a few minutes later in one of her new maternity dresses. "See Erik, I got dressed by myself and walked downstairs by myself." She said with a proud smile on her face. Erik turned around and smiled at her.

"I only do what I do, because I love you." Erik said and Christine laughed as she sat down.

"Then love me a little less." Christine said and Erik shook his head.

"I can't, sorry." He said as he sat pancakes in front of Gustave and then gave a plate to Christine. He kissed both of their heads before sitting down and beginning to eat the pancake he made for himself.

Once they were done, Erik went to get dressed while Christine went to help Gustave. He put on his normal suit and slicked his hair back. Erik walked downstairs and waited for his family so they could leave.

Gustave bolted down the stairs and over to his father who smiled at him. The little boy took his father's hand as they waited for Christine. Once, she made it downstairs, they all got into the carriage that was waiting outside. First, they dropped Gustave off with Madame Giry. Then, they went to the doctor's office.

They got out at the doctor's office and made their way inside. "Do you have an appointment, sir?" The lady at the desk asked.

"Yes, my wife does."

"Alright, what is her name and which doctor is she here to see?" She asked as she pulled out as sheet to begin filling out.

"Christine Destler, she's here to see Dr.Moreau." Erik said and the woman searched through some files until she found the right one. The woman took down the information before letting them into the room. Christine stripped down to her slip and sat on the bed.

Erik stood beside her and held her hand. They only had to wait a little bit until Dr.Moreau came in and welcomed them. Christine laid down as Dr.Moreau placed his hands on her stomach. He pulled out his stethoscope and moved the cold metal around her stomach.

"The twins heartbeats sound wonderful. Mr.Destler, would you like to hear?" Dr.Moreau asked and Erik looked to his wife who smiled at him and nodded.

"Yes, please." Erik hesitantly answered. Dr.Moreau handed the stethoscope to Erik who proceed to put it on as Dr.Moreau moved it around Christine's stomach. And in that moment, it all became real. He was going to be be a father again. Tears came to his eyes as he listened to the heartbeats of his children.

Erik passed it to his wife and let her listen. She smiled widely and squeezed Erik's hand. "Mrs.Destler, you may redress now. I just want to ask your husband a few questions then you're free to go." Dr.Moreau said and Christine put her dress back on.

"Mr.Destler, I'm going to need you to remove your mask." Dr.Moreau said and Erik got scared. Not his mask. That was his protection. His confidence. But he had Christine now. She was all of that for him and more. So Erik brought his hand to his face and slowly removed the piece of porcelain.

Dr.Moreau came over to him and began examining the deformity. "An ancestor must have had this deformity before you. That would mean it's a recessive gene in everyone in your family has, but they have a low chance of getting it." Dr.Moreau explained and Erik nodded as he put his mask back on and the couple left.
