Chapter 3: Team RELM

I was running around the Emerald Forest looking left, right, up and down unable to find anyone. I finally stopped running through this forest and started to walk instead of wasting stamina.

'How come I haven't found anyone in this damn forest yet? I mean it can't be that big for me not to found anyone yet.'

I stopped at my tracks to collect my thoughts while taking a deep breath.

'Alright I need think about what I'm going to do once I do find teammate.'

I tried to think of what the headmaster said before I was launched into the sky but I was immediately cut off by the sound of the bushes rustling.

I sighed slightly annoyed looking around in a defensive stance.

My ears narrowed as was looking everywhere I heard noise come from. That's when beowulf jumped out slashing his claw at me.

I jump back looking at it then around myself to see that surrounded by a pack of five beowulfs.

"Alright than let's have some fun then."

I said smirking then breaking into a sprint jabbing one of beowulfs in gut as it roars out in pain just to get his head cut off, it's body disintegrates to black particles.

I turn around to see one jump at me, I smirk as kick it underneath it's jaw sending it upward just to get jabbed by the incoming spearhead to send it right back down onto of another beowulf.

The last two beowulfs jump at me from behind, before I can react the two suddenly get blasted by a beam from the left of me.

I turn my head to see that Atlas student I saw from Auditorium yesterday and he seemed to be carrying what looked like a cannon.

That's when I realized he's going to be teammate or at least one of them, he then approached with smile extending his hand.

"Hello there it would seem that we are teammates now, My name is Roland." He said to me.

I extended my hand and shook his returning a smile to him.

"So it would seem my names Leonidas nice to meet you, thanks for the help back there." I said to him letting go his hand.

"Anything for fellow student of Beacon Academy. Now we must hurry and get to the relics and return to headmaster with them." He said walking away with me quickly following after him.

We have been walking through this forest for what felt like hours when we soon saw a clearing that lead to an open field in the middle of it was what looked like a piece of ruined platform.

"Hey Roland I think we found what we're looking for." I said to him pointing at ruined platform.

"It would appear so, come on let's go check it out." he said dashing toward it with me following shortly after.

When we got the platform we saw multiple chess piece.

I walked over grabbing a pawn piece looking at it raising a eyebrow.

"Chess pieces?" I said to myself before I looked around the ruin seeing a few of the other chess pieces were missing.

"I guess the other students got here before we did." Roland said looking around as well.

I was about to say something but was interrupt by what sounded like someone yelling my name.

"HEY LEO!"

I look to my left to see my friend Eagle walking over but what caught me off guard the most was the fact that he was carrying Marissa on his back.
