Team RELM: Darkness Ascension

Chapter 7: Unexpected events.

"So are you going to tell us why you came in last night with a perfume scent Leo?" Eagle said to me with a suspicious look on his face.

"Look all I'm saying is that I met a girl and that's it, that's all that happened." I replied with an annoyed sigh.

We were walking from Ms. Goodwitch's class after doing some sparring matches.

"So Leo has a lady friend, does he?" Yang said with a sly smirk on her face putting her arm around my shoulder.

"You guys aren't going to let me slide on this are you?"

"No." They all said simultaneously which kind of scared me with how synced they were.

"Can we at least get her name Leo?" Ruby said looking at me curiously with a slight head tilt.

"Her name is Neo" I said to them. That's when I noticed that ALL of team RWBY eyes were all wide with shock.

That's when I Yang grabbed my shoulders with a very tight grip and a sudden serious frown on her face.

"Describe her. Now." Yang said sternly and kind of threatening.

"U-um multicolored hair different colored eyes" I said getting extremely nervous.

"Leo you need to stay away from her, she is not safe to be around" Blake said as yang let her grip on my shoulders go.

"Me being a hunter in training is dangerous. What makes this any difference." I said crossing my arms looking at them glaring.

"Look Leo please just listen this one time I dont want you her to hurt you like Jessica did..." Blake said sounding more worried then she usually did.

"NO! THIS IS NOT GOING TO END LIKE IT DID WITH JESSICA, BLAKE" I yelled only to cover mouth realizing what I said.

"Wait who's Jessica...?" I heard Ruby say in a very quiet voice.

"It's no one..." I said backing away from them before I started running.

"Leo wait!" I heard Blake call out but I just ignored her and kept running.

I don't know why I ran but I just did.

After that I didn't realize how far I ran because when I looked around I was outside of Beacon Academy and now in the main city of Vale.

That's when I decided to just go to the park and rest there until I calmed down.

Once I got there I sat down on a bench and leaned back closing my eyes.

'Why..why do always fall for the girls that I shouldn't even trust. First Jessica and now Neo. I'm not sure what do anymore..' I thought to myself my fist clenched that is until my Scroll vibrated making me jump a little bit before I grabbed it to see what it was.

To my surprise it's wasn't Blake or anyone from my team.

It was a text message from Neo.

"Hey is everything okay? I saw you running by early you seemed extremely stressed out." I read looking a bit confused.

I guess she must of saw me run by.

"Yeah....I'm fine I just had some school drama that's all." I replied back to her sighing.

I was shocked to get an automatic response from her.

"Is...is it OK if come to see you maybe to help cheer you up?" I read making me blush lightly.

"Um..sure Neo if that's what you want. I'm at park by the way." 

I'm not sure why I felt so happy all of sudden.

Was it because of neo? Oddly enough I wasn't even this happy with Jessica but that's when I got hit realization.

What do I even tell her if she's asks me what's wrong.

I can't just say 'Oh my friends don't want me to be near you because I have a crush on you and they don't want you to break my heart.' That never ends well what so ever.

That's when I heard the sound of heals rushing over to me to my direction.

I looked up to only get a tight hug from Neo which took me by surprise.

I hug her back before we  let go of each other smiling and she shows me a message.

"Hey Leo" I read before
Looking back at her as she sat down next to me.

"Hey Neo." I said to her as she began writing again.

"Are you feeling better?" She showed me and I just smiled.

"Yeah i am thank you." I said to her as she started writing once more before showing me her next message.

"That's good..um do you mind if you tell me what happened I was kind of worried."

I read that and tensed up a bit.

'What am I suppose to say to even answer that without letting her know I like her.' I thought trying my best to come up with something to say until I finally came up with something.

"My step-sister brought up something that I had to do with my past that I wasn't necessarily proud of..." I said leaning my head back.

I than felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked over at see neo with a worried look on her face just to show me writing on her notebook.

"What was it...that is if you don't mind telling me" I read this before taking a deep breath clenching on my clothes tensing up.

"It's about my ex..she was someone I really liked to be around she was nice and playful but..." I started feeling tears fall from my cheeks.

"It...it was all just a God damn act all she wanted from me is a information about the White Fang...once she got what she wanted....she told me everything...the lies, the tricks. It was all fake love and I just stood there heart broken..." I continued my voice breaking with every word I said that's when I felt her wipe off my tears off my face before she grabbed my chin and...brought me into a kiss.

My eyes widen and I was blushing with a shade of red that practically matched Ruby's hood.

She broke the kiss with me and looked at me with smile before showing me a something she wrote on her notebook again.

"Leo....I want you to know that I'll never do that to you..ever."

I read that with utter shock of what just happened to me just now.

Her soft lips had connected to mine.

That's when she got up showing me another letter.

"I got to go but I'll keep in touch, I promise." She wrote before kissing my forehead and walking out of line of view as I sat there stunned.

She kissed me. Just out of the blue. 'I'm not sure if my day got better..or got worse'
