Chapter 20: Grand Disaster

Here we are, sitting in spectator stands getting ready to watch the fight between Pyrrha and Penny. Though for most of us were more worried about other things, at least thats how I feel right now.

Neo's words still showed up in my head, which made me incredibly anxious. I definitely kept my eyes on Marissa but even then I didn't get what Neo meant when she mentioned Marissa, she was completely normal.

I looked away from her to pay attention to match. Apparently when me and Eagle were gone Pyrrha was called down to talk to professor Ozpin though she never told us what it was for. I guess whatever Ozpin said to her must be implanted in her brain because she look so distracted during the fight and Jaune saw it to.

Soon enough I needed to go to the bathroom so I got up and left then headed there.

Once I finished my business and headed outside I noticed something from the corner of my eye. I saw Mercury and he was completely fine!

Even worse was he was fighting Ruby. I sudden felt myself running in and punching Mercury in his jaw sending him stumbling back.

"Ruby, hurry and warn the others!" I said almost panicked. With that said, she quickly speed off then I  heard Mercury just start laughing out of no where.

"What's so funny?" I said slightly confused, raising an eye brow.

"It's just I promised Ice cream truck I wouldn't hurt you but I'm not known to keep my promised." He said before charging at me with flurry of strong kicks.

All I could do is dodge his attacks seeing how I didn't have my weapon on me. I could hardly even find an opening to even fight back, I was completely outclassed but I was only here to distract him long enough for Ruby to get the others.

Just I block a kick from Mercury we both started hearing screams all around the area causing me to lose focus and get kicked on the left side of my waist causing me to stumble back, gritting my teeth.

"Sounds like thats my queue, smell ya later wolf boy." He said as began running off in a different direction.

I wanted to chase him down but i had to see what happened at the stadium. So I starting running towards where Rudy was and what I saw was horrific.

I saw Pyrrha standing over Penny, who was cut in half. There was no blood but instead were electrical wires coming out of her. She was a robot the whole time but even worse above the entire stadium was a Nevermore pecking its way into the stadium!

How did it even get here?! There was no way the atlas defenses didn't shoot it down. That's when it hit me. Roman Torchwick was being held in one of those damn airships!

Neo probably set him free. While I was stuck in my thoughts, the Nevermore broke through the shields and landed right in front of Pyrrha roaring loudly.

I quickly grabbed my scroll so I could get it to send my weapon. Before I could send the command I  heard the nevermore screech in pain and stumble.

Just then I saw Ruby just stabbed its just with one of Penny's blades, causing it to stumble backwards. It then started flying towards the two, that's when I got an idea.

I aimed my scroll at the nevermore and pressed the button on it to summon my weapon. Apparently I wasn't the only one with the same idea as a bunch of other lockers started landing on top of the nevermore, pinning it to the ground.

I quickly ran to my locker and got my chain disasters on my wrist. I started looking around at the other students who also grabbed their weapons. Teams SSSN CFVY JNPR and RWB were their grabbing their weapons. I also noticed that the two members of team FURY was here as well but their other two team mates were missing.

Eagle and Roland waved at me and ran over to them. Thats when I realized, Marissa wasn't there with them.

"Guys, where's Marissa?" I asked almost panicking.

"We were about to ask you the same thing because she told us she went to go look for you." Roland said looking worried.

Before we could continue the conversation any further the nevermore started getting up. Everyone quickly reacted getting their weapons ready.

I was the first to strike as I shot my Spear heads at the nevermores neck and started pulling to make sure it stayed in place then Nora ran up its back to its head, jumping up slamming her hammer on its head sending it to the ground and to finish it off Sage and Yatsuhashi both jump up and cut its head off.

I retracted my spearheads and sighed in relief only to have a pack of griffins start flying in surrounding us.

"Anyone have a plan of attack?!" Sun said as he stood in a fighting stance.

"Sun, hand me your scroll!" Ruby said as sun tossed her his scroll. She then immediately summoned her Crescent Rose. She went to grab it but a griffin landed right on top of the locker it was held in.

Before any of us could do anything about it, a gunshot was fired scaring it off.

"Students, I think it would be best for you to leave" Professor Port said holding his weapon, standing alongside with Professor Oobleck.

"But we can-" but before she could continue pleading, Professor Oobleck cut her off.

"I'm sure this will end up in Remmant history and I'd appreciate it if my students would live to tell it." He said with a reassuring smile.

Ruby smiled back and quickly grabbed her Crescent Rose and ran to the exit as everyone else followed.

As we followed Ruby outside, I was still looking around to spot Marissa. I was scared and everyone was too but we had to be brave for what's to come.
