Chapter 1 Starting Off Fresh

A/N: Hello everyone this is my first fanfic so this might not be very good also ALOT of things in the main story of RWBY will indeed be changed you'll find out more about that as the story progresses but without further ado let's get started, enjoy!

'So, this is Beacon?' The young man thought as he looked around the courtyard with awe.

The place look so nice and so beautiful at least compared to where he came from in the first place. He began to start walking around the main courtyard heading to the Auditorium though he didn't quite know where exactly the Auditorium was so he followed the rest of students who also got off the bullhead with him.

There was so many unfamiliar faces that he had a bad feeling that keeping his secret will be alot harder then he originally thought even though there's was barely any faces that are familiar to him except for the one he knew, his adopted parents and his step-sister, one that he was trying his best to avoid at all costs.

He doesn't hate her it's just he'd know how she'd react once she found her step-brother that runaway from home without saying a word to anyone, that is if she goes to said Academy.

He soon stopped at the front of the doors Auditorium his emerald green eyes looked inside through the open doors seeing a few unfamiliar people.

To his left one person stuck out more then most of the people in there it was a girl with short pink hair and pale skin tone she also seems to be wearing what seemed to be a black sweater but her shoulders were exposed slightly and the sleeves are gray color with black leggings and black sneakers I couldn't get a good look of her eyes because she seemed to be....sleeping?

I merely shrug it off and look to my right, I noticed two males one in the front and one in the back. The one in the front seemed to dark orange hair, redish yellow eyes, black sleeve gloves, and looked about 6 foot 7 also looked like he has Black and white atlas clothing and jacket he seemed rather professional.

The one in the back looks like he has white skin, snow white suit with a white and black fedora and has ocean blue eyes.

I was soon taken out from my distractions of the people around me when the entire Auditorium went silent and began to hear the sound footstep and a cane touching the floor repeatedly I soon looked up at sound of the microphone buzz to see what I would guess to be the headmaster of the Academy

"I'll...keep this brief." He soon said with a strangly calm but also strict voice.

"You have all came here to seek knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume that knowledge will free of this burden but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only bring so far. It is only up to you to make the first step."

After he was done with his speech he began to slowly walk off stage only to have another blonde woman walk forward toward the microphone clearing her throat. "You will gather together at the ballroom tonight, tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed" she said as the blonde teacher walked off stage as voices began to spring back up again I stood there looking towards the ground thinking of what the headmaster said.

What he said, it gave me shivers down my spine. He was right I did come here seeking knowledge but he also had a point. How far would said knowledge even take me.

I was quickly taken out of my trance from the sound of someone's voice I shook me head and looked up to see the boy I noticed in back from before.

"Hey kid you alright you seemed a bit out of it" he said with a bit of sly smile on his face. I only blinked a bit confused on why he cared but I soon shrugged it off and gave him a small smile.

"Yeah I'm good just got lost in my train of thought."

He didn't look to convinced but he shrugged and said. "Oh ok than, hey wanna head to the ballroom with me I don't really know anyone and it be good to have someone to talk to and you know not be bored out of mine" He finished with a small smirk before I nod at him.

"Sure I don't know anyone here either."

The boy smiles and started walking forward waving me over.

"Come on let's get a move on then, by the way the names Eagle."

I soon followed after heading towards the ballroom.

"I'm Leonidas."

I soon said with a small smile on my face. Eagle then looked at me smiling.

"heh cool name but you don't mind if I call you Leo for short, do you?" He said with a questionable look on his face but I soon smile nodding my head yes.

"Sweet, we'll nice to meet you Leo."

A few minutes pass as we soon get to the ballroom seeing how packed it got I started rubbed the back of my head looking around trying to find a place to sleep for night.

Eagle then points out an empty corner conveniently big enough to fit both of us and we both head there and start unpacking blankets and pillows from our bags and lay them on ground.

I start looking around the ballroom seeing most of the people are already in their sleeping wear.

"Hey Leo, do you see that girl over there." 

Eagle said point to the girl I saw before who seemed to be asleep at the Auditorium as she was was also getting ready to sleep...again.

"Yeah what about her?" I said before looking over at him raising a brow of confusion. 

"I heard some stories about her and apparently she is Ozpins daughter." Eagle said to me but I still looked at him with a face of confusion.

"Who's Ozpin excatly?" I asked him turning my head back to the girl.

"The guy who was giving us the speech back at the Auditorium." Eagle answered with a slight annoyed look on his face.

"Wait the headmaster? Whoa never knew he even had a daughter, it's just.."

Eagle then looked at me confused

"It's just what?" he said raising his eyebrow slightly.

"It's just if she's the headmaster daughter  how can she be so lazy?" I said but Eagle simply just shrugged.

"Beats me but I gotta say, she is pretty cute." He said with a small smile.

I looked at him confused but then I began to smirk.

"You like her or something Eagle?" I asked teasingly which caused him to blush a deep shade of red with an annoyed look on his face.

"N-no of course not I don't even know her name or anything!" He said almost yelling while I sat there grinning.

"Yeah sure whatever you say. But hey we should probably get some shut eye we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow." I said to him laying down on my blanket placing my head on the pillow.

Eagle sighed as his blush dies down a bit. "Yeah your probably right."

  He said taking off his fedora placing on the ground next to him laying his head down before noticing my beanie still on my head.

"Hey Leo aren't you going to take that beanie off before heading off to sleep dude?" He asked which caused me to adjust my black beanie on my head.

"Um...no i like have it on when I sleep it's very comfortable." I said turning around my back now facing him.

Eagle just shrugs laying down.

"Alright then goodnight dude." He said with a yawn.

"Goodnight Eagle" I said after closing my eye.

'Wow my first day at Beacon Academy went a lot better then expected. I didn't see my step-sister and initiations start tomorrow I just hope it goes well and don't fail.' I thought before I stumbled into a deep sleep.

A/N: Well that was the end of chapter one jeez my fingers hurt but it was definitely worth it to get this out I hope it's a good read for you and I'll post chapter 2 as soon as possible ^^
