Chapter 19: Trust issues

I couldn't believe what i was even seeing. Why would Yang do that to anyone so why now, why Mercury. Nothing made sense.

After that happened Yang was escorted back to her dorm. My team and team JNPR followed shortly after to get some answers from Yang.

"Yang why did attack Mercury?" Ruby  asked with a slight worry in her voice.

"Because he charged at me! How did you guys not see that?!" She yelled back looking at everyone with anger.

"What we saw was Mercury extend his hand for you to shake it just for you break his leg. We all saw the clip that General Ironwood showed us." Weiss said clearly annoyed by the whole annoyed with the whole situation.

While they were discussing  what happened I couldn't stop staring at Marissa. After what Neo told me I've been keeping my eyes on her ever.

I was soon knocked out of my trance when Eagle tapping my shoulder.

"Hey Leo, you ok you've been quiet for a while now. You okay?" Eagle said putting a hand on shoulder with a worried look on his face.

I looked at him almost with this spaced out look on my face then I looked at Marissa who stared back confused.

I then got up and looked Eagle.

"Eagle can we go outside? I need to talk to you, privately." I said walking outside of the dorm.

I waited for him by the fountain looking at my reflection thinking.
How am I supposed to tell that one of our closet friends might betray us.

I heard him start walking up to the fountain. I turned around to face him. He looked at me with a worried look o  his face.

"So what did you want to tell me dude?" He asked putting his hands in his pockets.

I took a deep breath as i stood up from the fountain.

"What I'm about to tell you might not sound believable but Marissa might betray us." I said clapping my hands together and pacing my footing a bit. Its something I do when I'm nervous.

He didn't say anything, he just looked at me with this shooked look on his face.

"You're joking right? How did you even come up with that dude?" He asked putting his hands on his head now clearly starting to stress out.

"I know it doesn't sound believable, I have a hard believing it myself a bit but I started thinking about it. How her personality just changes when she fights and with how things are looking right now, the grimm are going to be coming in by the thousands Eagle." I said getting more and more nervous by second.

"You still didn't answer my question Leo, how did even learn all of this?" He said sounding annoyed more then nervous.

I was about to say it was Neo but I froze remembering what Neo told me. I sat down trying to think of something to say.

"It kind of just came to me. I started over thinking things." I said, the nervousness completely vanished and was replaced with a tone of sadness.

I felt myself on the verge of tears but I swallowed as much of it as I could.

"Look can we just head back please. Everyones probably worried. Pretty sure Pyrrha's match is about to start soon." I said standing up putting my hands in my pockets looking at him almost with an emotionless stare.

He saw my expression and had this worried look on his face as he put a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey dude, you sure your ok?" He asked in a slightly nervous tone.

"Yeah I'm good just lets hurry back to group" I answered back and began walking back to the Arena.
