• Chapter Two

"Biblical are this new pop group with four very hot guys." Said a girl behind me. Bright platinum blond hair and big bright sky blue eyes. Really pretty, if she hadn't talked.

"Never heard of them..." I smiled weakly at her.

"Obviously." She rolled her eyes at me. What was her problem? She turned to the boy at the front of the class. "Do they have to go? I mean, one is pissed she's having to go and she doesn't even know the band."

"Whoa, Barbie, jealous much?" I stared at her. She went to speak but I stopped her. "Look if you're just going to insult me again I would save your breath because quite frankly, no one is going to listen to your pissy voice."

The class started to laugh around us. Barbie stayed quiet folding her arms. The boy handed me the tickets. I thanked him, placed them in my bag and nodded for the teacher to carry on with his lesson.

I had on a blue checked shirt, dark denim jeans with my fabvourite leather jacket, flats and dakr makeup. My curly hair had decided for once that it would straighten and the only thing left to do was to get Bindi, who had locked herself away in her bedroom as soon as we got home from school.

I knocked on her door about to walk in when she appeared in front of me in leggings, a light denim shirt and grey converses.

She was ready to go.

We arrived at the concert hall with minutes to spare but with the backstage passes, we jumped ahead in front of everyone getting in the upper seating with a perfect view of the stage. I hated being in America for only a couple of reasons but the biggest was no drinking until we were 21. What was up with that? Everyone drank at concerts back at home. It was what we did.

The hall went dark, music started to blare out of speakers and four guys walked onto the stage picking up their instruments. It was starting.

Bindi clapped along with me on all the catchy songs and always held up a hand to her ears when I screamed or woo-ed.

"I liked them!" I shouted afterwards when they finally left the stage and everyone was forming queues to get out. We showed our passes to the steward who led us down a little hallway to another hall. There were literally hundreds of photographers and journalists. We were seated midway from the long table where the boys would sit.

Then walked in a tall, built, tanned guy about my age. The first thing that caught my eye was his ruffled bed head hair then I travelled my eyes down to his tight white t-shirt and cool looking leather jacket. He sat down in the middle of the table. Two seconds later three other really good looking guys walked into the room and sat.

The conference had begun. The normal questions were asked about their new album, song, concert, tour before the interesting questions started. The guy in the middle hadn't talked once. Instead he preferred to leave it up to the other boys.

"So Grey is there any special in your life at the moment?"

The guy in the middle looked up to the interviewer. Bindi squeaked a little beside me, I looked to see complete awe in her eyes. Wow, I didn't think he was that hot but I had never seen Bindi look at anyone the way she was looking at his guy called Grey. Who called their son Grey? Who would name their daughter Eden; I really couldn't talk could I?

Grey shook his head, he wasn't a talker obviously.

Someone told us that the audience from tonight's crowd could now be able to ask questions to the boys. No one raised their hand.

"Why do you wear your purity ring? There is obviously no reason for it."

I looked at were the question had come from. Bindi. My mouth dropped open. Everyone looked towards Grey who had been twiddling the ring around his finger. His eyes shot up to stare right at us. I looked back to Bindi, who now looked really pissed off.

"Bin, what are you doing?" I whispered harshly. Bindi just shook her head not wanting to answer me. "Okay then." I whispered back.

Grey went to talk, shut his mouth then tried to open it again.

"Excuse me that is a really inappropriate question-"

With one shift movement of Grey's hand the statement was stopped. "It stops everyone wanting to get into my pants." Was all Grey managed to get out. I think it was meant to be a joke...

"People will always want to get into your pants. You had to know that would happen."

"Yes, but it helps."

"So are you saying that you only wear your ring to stop girls getting into your pants and not to remain faithful to God until you are married?"

"No-"

"But you just admitted that to everyone here?"

"Yes, but...' Grey stopped talking. I hadn't noticed the lip ring in his mouth as he flicked it with his tongue. This guy was becoming more and more attractive to me. I noticed how bright his eyes were.

"Wow, you're pretty good at this." I quickly whispered to Bindi. She looked furious. I had no idea why, two minutes ago she was besotted with him.

Grey stared directly at Bindi. We both caught our breath. "First and foremost, I'm a Christian. It's important to me to save myself until I've found the girl that I want to marry. Then and only then will I take off my ring for exchange for a wedding ring. So..."

"But by having a purity ring probably probes them on more right?" I couldn't help but ask. Grey wasn't making much sense. Now he was looking at me. I held my ground and stared straight back. Grey smiled at me and nodded.

Bindi shot me a deathly glare that seemed to say, 'you're sticking up for him.' I looked away not wanting her. Quickly, she piped in again. "So really there is no point to having a purity ring. I mean, everyone will know when you lost your virginity, just to save it for a girl you love." I saw everyone around us nod a little. No one else had spoken yet.

"It's a statement to everyone-"

"It's you trying to tell everyone but you're not. Wouldn't you agree that you should just not wear the ring and not have sex with girls that you meet?" Bindi was getting more and more angry. But... that made sense. I wouldn't dare speak up again.

"It's telling them-"

"It's not telling them! They still come after you! Why couldn't you just tell them no? Instead of wearing a stupid cubic zirconia-"

"It's sterling silver actually."

For the first time I saw Bindi scoff at Grey. He was a huge rock star and she just scoffed at him. I looked to Grey to see his reaction. He gave a little smile that was inhumanly sexy. I couldn't help but smile back.

"I'm sorry, whoever you are but this isn't going to make me stop wearing it. I wear because it's what I've chosen to do. No one is going to change that." Grey had been twiddling the ring all this time suddenly stopped and addressed everyone else in the room. "There is no important or special person in my life at the moment. We as a group have just come back from tour and are going to take a break while I continue with my studies. Thank you all for coming."

With that they all just got up and left. They left a whole hall full of people totally speechless.

Well that was fun.
