Here is an exclusive of ELI's Point of View... Normally, I always try to get other characters thrrough the main character but as I was writing one day, he kinda slipped into my head and after that the words flowed out...
Enjoy!

• Chapter Seventeen: Eli's Point of view
ELI POV
She said she was empty but I felt hollow. I had screwed up.
I had wanted fun not a commitment. I walked out of Eden's hospital room, trying to come up with some sort of script in my head to tell Sarah and Joseph the real reason Eden was in hospital, not an infected cut.
When I first saw Eden, she was just an English girl stealing a room in my house. I had thought she would have been dyed bright blonde, wearing skimpy clothes and a silly accent but when a simple brunette in jeans, converses and a top saying, 'Spooning Leads To Forking' - with a fork and spoon holding hands - I had to reevaluate the girl in the room next to me.
She could be annoying, especially when she walked in on Raine and I but then, other times she was just fun. I couldn't explain it, she was different to everyone else.
I was drunk when it happened. So I could have been more careful but when I saw her only in a towel, the feeling of just an 'English exchange student called Eden,' washed away and was replaced with 'wow Eden the English exchange student is hot!'
I wouldn't say sparks flew when I kissed her but the chemistry was there. She just got cuter when she told me to get out.
It happened too many times but after the first time I couldn't get her out of my head. I'd have flashbacks and have a need to smell her again.
Don't get me wrong, Raine and I had something too but Eden felt better and a whole lot sexier knowing that we really shouldn't be sleeping together.
It was why I lied. Raine still is and has always been my girlfriend but however many times I used to walk past Eden's bedroom, the door closed and imagine what I could be doing with her inside those four walls was too tempting. I just couldn't not stop myself with Eden.
So here we were, five months later and Eden's lost our baby. Mine and hers baby. I thought I'd have more time, I thought I'd be able to tell my parents and I definitely thought I could be man enough when the time came to raise a child.
I saw my parents looking at a nurse who had just walked away then gave a little smile at Bindi, who gave them steaming cups of coffee. Bindi caught my eye looking at me suspiciously.
I had some idea of what I wanted to say. I took a deep breath, stood in front of my parents and Bindi fully prepared to tell them.
"Listen... Eden's in the hospital-"
"She's doing drugs isn't she?" Sarah asked. Tears were forming in her eyes. She'd flood the hospital if she found out. Joseph would freak. I may not be close to my parents but I couldn't do that to them.
"No Mom, she just hurt herself badly. She just told me now, Jesse and her were messing around and he gave her a piggy back. Next thing she knows she's on the ground."
"Oh, well, maybe you keep an eye out for her from now on then..."
"Yeah, Jesse said he apologised and she's fine with it." I tried to laugh but I couldn't. A little white lie won't hurt them as much as the truth. "I'm going to see if she needs anything..."
