• Chapter Sixteen

*

I was the first person out of class. I literally ran towards Eli's car. It was Friday!

One of the most satisfied feelings in the world. The feeling you have as soon as you finish your lesson on a Friday afternoon is immense, both relief and happiness take over your body.

Nobody was at Eli's car but I didn't care. I watched everyone else start to file out of school with the same look on their faces.

I saw Jesse approach the car too, giving me a sexy little smile. He copied my same position, leaning on the car, but I figured he could do it a thousand times sexier than I. I wriggled about trying to make my position sexier now that I felt inadequate.

Just then, a girl with a braces set around her head wearing a large hoody, tracksuit bottoms and croc shoes walked past me. Though I felt horrendously bad, I felt better about myself. I relaxed my sexy position.

I was looking out for Bindi when I saw two sightings. One was two larger sized geeky pupils complete with glasses and bad hair-dos holding hands looking lovingly at each other - making me feel unloved and unwanted, - the other was Eli and Bindi obviously unhappy with something or someone because they looked alike. A trade I'd rather not tell them since the two together and angry was hilarious.

I chuckled to myself, Jesse looked at me confused so I pointed at the siblings explaining. He gave a heart clenching laugh that made my insides turn upside down. I wanted to ask how he had never noticed it but he explained anyway. It wasn't like that family to ever be anything but happy apparently.

Could have fooled me!

They were coming a lot closer now but not before Raine tried to rub her and Eli's relationship in everyone's faces. I made gagging noises to Bindi and Jesse while the other two snogged it out.

"Oh stop you two. I think they make a good couple." Bindi and I turned to Jesse looking flabbergasted. He was watching them intently while they talked at each other, kissing and being couple-like.

"They have always made a good couple... "Jesse turned looking at me. I stiffened. Bindi had walked away to get the keys off Eli.

I didn't acknowledge that I knew what he was on about. Jesse rested his arm against the car then placed his head on his arm looking at me.

"Come on, spill it, how long for?"

I was okay to talk with Bindi out of ears length. "He's lying to you."

"He lies to everyone." Jesse told me honestly.

"They're not going out."

"I beg to differ."

I counter-attacked. "It's just a cover, Sarah caught them and-"

"Eli knows what he wants Eden, and he'll get it one way or another."

I was still watching Raine and Eli. Raine was starting to head towards her car.

"Eden, it's not a cover."

I watched how Eli quickly turned to see a dark glossy haired girl and her friend sped over to him. He looked good in his white top and jeans.

The girls were all over him but the friend quickly ran off a phone to her ear. The dark haired girl was left with Eli. He looked at her like... Like he does when he looks at me...
