Chapter four

"Any of you infected?" a guy asked

"One of our group was he didn't make it." Rick said

"Y'all have to submit a blood test."

My dad looked at me knowing I was gonna run.

Blood test (hell naw.) I bolted.

"Sh** get her." my dad yelled

T-dog grabbed me

"Hell naw I'm not gonna get any needle near me." I said struggling

"Calm down Cher." my dad said holding me down

I felt the needle going in my arm and started to cry.

We were all eating and laughing.
My dad and Lori decided to let us have some wine.

"Eww." said Carl and gave his wine back to his mom

I took a sip "Yuck y'all trying to poison me." I said and gave my wine to my dad

Everybody laughed. Glenn looked at his bottle then set it down.

"Keep drinkin chinamen I wanna see how red your face can get." my dad said

"Whatever you do don't plug in the video games and go easy on the hot water." he said then left

"Did he say hot water?" asked Glenn

"That's what the man said." said T-dog bolting to his room.

I was the first in my room so I took the first shower. ( First come first serve) It felt wonderful just feeling safe for once. When I was done I put on my pjs and bolted out of my room to find Carl and Sophia.

"Hey Sophia." I said

"Hey." she said as she made her move on checkers.

"Grimes." I said

"Dixon." he said said blushing

My dad walked in.

"Dad can I sleep with Sophia tonight?" I asked

"If its alright with Carol." he said

"It's fine." she said smiling at us

"Mom can I sleep with them?" Carl begged

Lori looked at Carol

"It's fine,Sophia needs some alone time with people her age." said Carol laughing

"Yes!" we all said at once

Carl and my eyes met. He has nice eyes. Wait what? We blushed and looked away.

"C'mon kids lets go to bed." said Carol

We were half way to our room when I realized I forgot my doll.

" I'll be right back." I said

"Ok." said Sophia

I heard a bang and went into the game room. I saw Lori scratch Shane. I gasped, Shane ran out of the room.
I ran over to Lori

"Are you ok?" I asked

"I'm fine sweetie." she said and left.

I quickly got my doll and ran back to the room. We were playing truth or dare and twenty questions.

"Cherokee truth or dare?" said Sophia

"Dare." I said

"I dare you to kiss Carl." she said giggling

Carl and I started chocking on our water. I looked over at him and blushed. I gave him a kiss on the
cheek.

"Boy germs!" I yelled then fell to the floor.

Sophia and Carl started laughing.
