At the Hospital for No Reason

Chapter 11

When we arrived at the hospital, I still couldn't walk, so Luke carried me and I had my eyes closed since I had fallen asleep on the way there. The beeping was what woke me up. I looked around and saw Luke reading a book in the corner, he had olive skin, about 6 foot 2, he was strong, could carry just about anything, his face was always relaxed except for when I looked at him after falling, he was worried for me but his personality was amazing, so kind, caring, he wave very humorous as well, he liked me, he liked me more than Jake, but the person I liked out of the group were three, it was so complicated because I liked two but I loved Jake, but ever since he's been staying with Tyler I'm doubting it so now I'm relying on Luke to help so I don't talk with Jake. Which he could almost read minds because that's what he's been doing lately.

Where the bump was on my back it didn't hurt as much as earlier, I mean sure it was killer pain, it was the type of pain you get when you walk on a broken bone. Luke looked up from his book and smiled.

"Hey Angel!" He smiled and put his bookmark in his book and held it on his lap.

"How do you feel?" I laughed

"How do you think?" I smiled looking back at him.

"I'm thinking your in pain and you don't want to be here.." He raised his eyebrows

"Bingo!" I laughed and looked at the door as it was being opened.

"Hello, I'm Dr.Hansing" I nodded

"I think for your back you should see a chiropractor, it seems as if you just popped a disc out of place."

I smiled "thanks doc." He nodded and left.

"I thought that's what it was." Luke looked at me.

"I actually could take you to the chiropractor today! I know just the place" I smiled

"Sounds great"

Then the nurse came in and discharged us telling me,

"I don't want to see you here any longer Miss Vanatello" I nodded

"Ill try not to come" we both laughed and she left the room.

I insisted on walking myself so I hopped up and changed in the bathroom into some summer clothes as Luke offered me his arm to walk with him, and I took it. We used the elevator and went to the lobby level where we went to his car. He opened my door and helped me sit and then he got in the drivers seat.

"You ready?"

"Yup!"

He started to drive to the chiropractor for me.

When we arrived Luke helped me out of the car and offered his arm to me once again, and again I accepted and we walked in. He spoke to the lady at the desk and she said the other lady would be out shortly. We stood a few moments before we get to walk back.

We entered a room and she had me sit on the table.

"So what brings you here?"

"Uh the hospital told me that I had a disc out of place,"

"Oh that's easy to fix!" She smiled

"The Chiropractor will be in in a few minutes!" She then left. I burst out laughing and looked over at Luke, he was laughing as well. When the chiropractor came in he had me lay on my stomach as he did various things fixing my back, it was 30-45 minutes later that we were done.

"You can go to the main office."

I nodded and hopped off the table, Luke was at my side,

"Feel better?" I nodded

"Much better" I giggled

"Good" he smiled and kissed my cheek whispering in my ear "I love you much more than Jake" I looked him in the eye.

"I can tell" I smiled

We then walked out to the lobby and we paid the few it required. I wanted to pay, but Luke insisted on paying, so I let him. We got back in the car and drove to the academy. When we pulled in I looked at him.

"We don't speak of the kiss on my cheek, or that little comment you said. Ok?"

"Ok!" He nodded and got out opening my door and offered his hand for me to use getting out of the car, in which I used. We walked into the barn and I saw Jedi and patted him.

"Your a good boy Jedi" I gave him a peppermint and rubbed his face. All the sudden someone came up behind me and pinched my sides as I screamed and then burst out laughing as Jake twirled me and kissed me.

"I see your doing better" he smiled and held my hands

"It is true!" I smiled back as I have his hands a little squeeze.

"Want to go out to eat?" He offered

"Sounds great" I said happily as I saw Luke frown in the corner of my eye.

"Shall we go now?" He looked at me and smiled

"Sure" I held his hand as we began to walk out of the barn.
