Chapter 15

We held hands as we walked through the amazing archways as I got a phone call.

"Hello?" I asked the random number

"I got him, pay me money for him back" I looked at Luke

"Who is this?"

"I'm your worst nightmare" Luke took the phone when he saw me go pale

"Hello, who is this?"

"Oh just a family friend dear child, continue your walk" I grabbed my phone and hung up the phone an shoved it in my back pocket I pulled Luke to the barn as I checked on both Eclipse and Jedi.

I looked in Banches stall

"Oh no" I hit my forehead as I heard the rain start pounding the roof.

I ran to the tack room and grabbed a poncho and tacked up Jedi, Luke looked at me worried

"What's wrong?" He looked at me

"I gotta go" I got up on Jedi and kicked him into a gallop I followed the fresh hoof prints. I heard a scream and I urged Jedi faster. "Now" I shouted and Jedi surged faster pounding his hooves as we followed the new ones in the soil. I saw Banche and got off and let Jedi stand.

"Jake!" I yelled

"Goo Run!" I heard him yell back but I followed his voice as I hid behind a tree when I saw the other man. He had just duct taped Jakes mouth and he went running to where Banche was I ran and untied Jake

"Lets go" I hopped on Jedi and helped him up and we galloped back to the barn, "Go JEDI GO" I yelled and he did as I asked we galloped in through the barn doors and he galloped in the arena "Easy boy" I patted his neck and he began to slow to a halt. I patted him.

"Get off" I said to Jake and he did. I started walking out Jedi, he was breathing heavily when I heard hoof steps enter the barn I saw Commander galloping in with no bridle and Jake and Luke shut and locked the barn door along with the regular door which they set to limited access. Jedi was still breathing heavy so I got off and walked with him. Jake ran up to me.

"That man is the one who shot at Jedi" I looked at him

"How do you know?"

"He told me" Jake looked at me

"You know I only saved you because it's the right thing to do, right?" He nodded

"I know" he sighed and walked away.

Finally Jedi's breathing was returning back to normal as I patted his neck.

"Your a good boy" I smiled and kissed his nose I then walked him to his stall and untacked him. Luke had left after locking the doors, now it was just me. I sat in front of Jedi's stall with the door open but the stall guard up.

I at some point fell asleep, I woke up in my dorm with Luke cradling me as I shivered, my teeth chattered. He draped a blanket over me as he turned on the TV. As the words spoke out loud:

"Jake Stevens, student at Hill Top Academy, was found dead just hours after arriving at the hospital by getting hit by a car. The driver was drunk and had gotten in Campus, he didn't want us to share his first name, so we shall share his last name being, Mr. Baron."

I sat up and laid my head on Luke they showed pictures and the video of the interview of him.

"That's the the man that had Jake earlier. And It's that voice from the phone call" I laid my head down as Luke started humming and I fell asleep.
