Not Again

Chapter 10

I arrived at the barn and tacked up Jedi, and mounted in the arena when I saw Matt and Luke. Before I called Tyler I was crying so I had bag under my eyes. They rode up next to me,

"What's wrong, Angel?" Luke looked at me and frowned

"Nothing," I said harshly and cantered away from the two of them and began jumping.

I pushed Jedi to the limit, he was doing amazing, Jake had arrived and was watching my "one more round" I whispered and I went cantering up to the oxer 1,2 over well I went over and he refused I felt my head hit the ground as Luke ran up to me, I was crying, I never cried when I fell,

"It hurts" I mumbled, Jake had just ran up

"Where?" Looked at me, I tried to sit up but I winced in pain

"Mm-my back" I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened them again and Luke had picked me up, I liked the way he carried me, I looked at him

"I'm gonna lay you flat on the sofa, ok?" He knew where it hurt, he could feel it when he carried me it was either my spine or my back, I closed my eyes again and he gently shook me

"Not right now Angel" I turned my head and looked around, nobody was following us and nobody was in front, we were alone. He had opened the door before carrying me and laid me gently on the sofa. I didn't want to go to the hospital and I made that clear to him. He left and came back with an ice pack and I put it under the bump on my back. My hands shook, it hurt so bad I couldn't handle it.

"Luke.." I said quietly

He looked at me "Yes?" He knew what was wrong with me

"Am I going to die?" He shook his head

"No," he came over and wiped my tears, "you are not going to die, I won't let you he picked my hand up squeezed it and put it down, which allowed me to smile. We both heard yelling outside the door, he sat down in from of the couch,

"Don't go out there" he looked at me

"I won't, why were you crying earlier?" He looked at me, wanting to know

"Jake hasn't been in our room for the last two weeks" he shook his head

"How rude.." I started to close my eyes

He covered me in a blanket, and held my hand so I knew he was there when I woke up.

Jake was sitting in the chair across from the sofa on his laptop and Luke had stayed with me overnight and was holding my hand. I didn't move except squeeze Luke's hand and he looked at me and smiled.

"You should go to the hospital" he said softly as Jake looked up.

"I think I'm going to" that's what got Jake's attention,

"Ill take you," he volunteered but Luke was the only one that understood the right way of carrying me especially with the position of the bump. He nodded in Jake's direction,

"I think it would be best if I took her and stayed with her, you need to go to football" Jake sighed and agreed. And then we were off to the hospital.
