Packing and Leaving

Chapter 1

I galloped through the field, the wind blew my beach blonde hair back, my horse, Eclipse, pounded her hooves on the ground as I rose in the saddle in victo- beep beep beep my alarm awoke me.

"SHUT UP YOU STUPID ALARM" I somewhat yelled as I pound my fist into the side of the alarm clock. I slid my covers off but laid there hoping "just 5 more minutes" I mumbled and closed my eyes falling back asleep

"Angelica darling" I heard my mom say ever so softly from the crack of my door.
"Yes, mom?" I questioned why my alarm was set.
"School sweetie! It starts in two weeks and they are allowing us to take you early to get used to things." I nodded noticing her peeking her head in. I sighed and sat up, I didn't want to go to school, I wanted my friends back, but that all got taken away when I won the Championship Trophy. Now I had to go to an academy with an award for Best Equestrian Team. I stood and put on a tank top with lace at the top as I put on skinny jeans and slipped on my ugg boots. I combed my hair delicately letting the curls form. I looked in the mirror with a smile and applied very natural makeup.

I opened the linen closet, where we had kept all the bags and such and grabbed my enormous suitcase. I looked around the room, my team color was aqua blue, it was the most advanced team. Honestly I'm scared, I thought to myself grabbing all my polo shirts, tank tops, sweat shirts, t-shirts, an long sleeve shirts. I grabbed most of my riding clothes and put them in, I had a tone of aqua blue stuff, for it was my favorite color. I picked up some flip flops and put them in, after all I moved from New Jersey all the way to California for this. I grabbed the pictures of my friends and I held them hugging it to my chest a I whispered

"I miss you guys so much." I laid them in so the clothes would protect the glass. I grabbed all my boots and put them in a bag separate from the others. Then I packed all my needed items shoving them in a mini bag to put in my suit case, before I packed my other fancy and athletic shoes. Finally I zipped my suit case shut and set it on the floor rolling it on the floor.
"Hey, mom?" I said when I walked in the kitchen
"Yes sweetheart?" She turned in my direction
"Do you think Josh is free for me to call?" Josh was my brother who entered the military he's 22 right now and I looked up to him.
"I don't know. You can try." She turned back to what she was doing.

I picked up the phone and dialed his number at the base.
"Hello?" I heard his voice and smiled.
"Joshy Poo!" I smiled and teared up as I walked into the living room sitting on the couch.
"I miss you my Angel!" He sounded as if he was happy to hear my voice.
"I miss you too, when will you be home!" I concentrated on what to say.
"Very soon sis, very soon!" I smiled when I heard those words. This meant he was gonna be discharged honorably.
"Did mom tell you we moved to Cali?" I asked him.
"Yes, she told me all about it. But, I don't want my little Angel to grow up anytime soon, No boyfriends till I'm home, you hear?" He started to laugh which made me laugh.
"I love you Josh!"
"I love you too Angelica!"
"Come home sooner than later!" I told him.
"Oh I will!" I could hear his smile
"I must go!" He hung up and then after a long moment of hearing the dead line I hung up and placed the phone back.

It was very bright out when I stepped outside. The sun was blazing hot but I was used to the shade from all the buildings. I loaded my bags in the trunk and got in the back, shutting and locking the door as I sat there about to fall asleep. When I awoke I had a blanket over my whole body, covering my face and everything. I slowly uncovered my face.
"How far?" I questioned.
"A couple miles and we will be there" I heard my dads happy voice.
