She Dont Like the Light

Chapter 26,

I got out of the shower and changed into fuzzy pants with a matching tank top. A knock came at the door,

"God bless the world, ill be out in a minute." I brushed my hair and they knocked again.

"Angel I have to go pee really bad"

"EWWW tmi"

"Sorryyyy" they knocked again

"God! Fuck! You! Go pee outside"

I heard a sigh, and finally I left our bathroom and hopped into my bed.

"God took you long enough" Devin said entering the bathroom.

"Sorry, bitch" I laughed and pulled out my phone and called my mom, it went to voicemail

"Hey mom, the show is tomorrow, wish me luck! Bye" I hung up and mumbled a "bitch" quietly as Liam burst out laughing.

"What?" I looked at him

"Nothing" he sighed as a knock came at our door. I opened it,

"Hey there hot stuff" the random kid said as I slammed the door in his face

"Sawdy son" I said through the door laying on my bed again.

"We should get sleep," I looked at Liam and smiled as I wrapped up in a blanket shutting off our light. We slept and woke up at 5:30 and got changed. I slipped into my tan show breeches, with a blue air wick shirt. It was supposed to be over a hundred today. I braided my hair and then rolled it into a bun as I put the hair clip/ with a net on over the bun and clipped it. I put on my navy blue show jacket with a baby blue silk liner.

"You look like a champ" Liam said walking up behind me

"Oh just date already you two lovey doveys" Devin said just waking up

"Umm how about no" Me and Liam said in unison.

"Well lets go get photos taken" I laughed as we left our room as I walked out of the building getting my picture taken like a million times,

"Angelica, are you worried about today's huge event?" One guy with a microphone said holding the microphone to me,

"Not at all, my horses, and I, will do great!" I flashed my prize winning smile as they followed me and Liam to the barn.

"Who's this young boy with you Angel?" He held the microphone to me again

"This" I pointed to Liam

"Is Liam, he's gonna help me tack up" I nodded and he did too.

I got Jedi out and put him in the cross ties. Liam, and I began brushing him.

"Could you get Eclipse ready when I show Jedi?" I didn't look up from brushing.

"Yeah!"

"Thanks Liam!"

"No prob Angel"

It was silence after that, I did Jedi's mane while Liam picked his hooves and braided his tail. It was required for his tail to be braided when I jumped. We both finished at the same time as I grabbed the saddle pad and girth, Liam grabbed the saddle and bridle. I laid the saddle pad as Liam laid the saddle and I tightened the girth. Liam held the bridle for me. I took my show jacket off,

"Hold this" I handed him my coat and grabbed my protection vest and slipped it on and put my coat back on. It was required to wear one even for show jumping, well I required it for myself, the judges didn't care. I had Liam put on Jedi's bridle while I put on my black, velvet show helmet. I then wrapped Jedi's legs with his baby blue wrap matching his saddle pad.

Liam held Jedi as I put my foot in the stirrup and swung up into the saddle.

"You got this" Liam placed his hand on my leg and I nodded as he led Jedi out of the barn and over to the other jumpers.

I jumped at 10:25 and it was 10:15 right now. I took a deep breath as 10 minutes passed quickly, Liam left to tack Eclipse up and they called my name to go jump.

"Next up is Angelica Vanatello riding,

Fight This Warrior"

I walked into the arena and asked for a smooth canter receiving what I asked we made a 20 meter circle before we jumped the vertical, leading to an oxer, then the in and out, a standard, another vertical, along with a double standard, ending with a last oxer. We jumped the jumps perfectly as we finally ended with our 20 meter circle slowing to a walk. We walked out and I patted Jedi's neck,

"Good Boy Jedi!" He was amazing, nothing scared him, he didn't spook once and he kept with my speed. I rode back to the barn and handed Jedi to Liam as he held Eclipse.

I quickly took off my vest and put my coat back on as I mounted Eclipse and rode to the dressage ring. After 5 minutes they called me in,

"Next is Angelica Vanatello riding,

The Moons Eclipse"

We entered the ring and started our test, I entered at a trot, saluted and trotted away from X, we were doing great until she reared, spooking and I rode it as if nothing happened and continued with our test. When Eclipse reared I had smashed my nose against her neck. I felt the blood start coming, I had broken it, but I finished the test, and saluted. When it was over the judges called me over and I cued Eclipse over to them as I covered my nose. Rey, one of the judges spoke for the three of them,

"You did a great job Angelica, especially riding the spook, even though it looks as if you broke your nose, I can't wait to see you in the cross country jumping!" I smiled as Rey handed me a tissue that I covered my nose and nodded trotting out of the ring, on my way to the barn.

Liam looked at me and covered his mouth as he gasped seeing me holding the bloody tissue to my nose,

"Go see the doctor here! I have Eclipse!"

I quickly dismounted and made my way to the doctor that was at the show. He got the bleeding to stop as he got my nose supported so I could continue my day.

"There!" He said at last

"Your good to go!" I nodded and walked back to the barn. Thank god they ordered coats off!! I took off my coat and put my protective vest on.

"Get ready for cross country" I ordered to Liam.

We tacked Jedi up in his cross country tack. I wrapped his legs again and patted his neck as I swung up on his back.

"We got this" I smiled and rubbed his neck,

"Yes you do!" Liam said looking up at me.

I exited the barn with Liam as we made our way to the Cross Country course. They called me in, Jedi and I did amazing, soaring over each jump amazingly. It ended and I trotted over to Liam and we headed back to the barn. As I walked into the practice arena cooling off Jedi.

The awards would be given out soon, so I just walked in the practice arena on Jedi.
