Chapter 17

When we got to class we were really early and Aaron stared at me,

"Get some sleep Angel, you look exhausted" which he was right, I was exhausted I took a deep breath and fell asleep, after an hour he tapped my shoulder gently as I jerked awake. I saw the rest if the class filling in. I looked at him and smiled

"Thanks!"

"You still look like crap" I laughed and listened to the teacher ramble on, all through class. I actually saw some kids sleeping. The bell rang and me and Drake walked to the next class where Luke had beat me there and was holding the seat for me.

I laughed and sat next to him, the teacher wasn't in the room so I kissed his cheek quickly as we both smiled.

"I didn't think you would leave me to sleep" he laughed and tucked hair behind my ear.

"You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to disturb you" I smirked and quickly grinned as he gave me a look that always sent my heart fluttering. The teacher spoke on, and on, and on, he didn't shut up until the bell rang and Luke squeezed my hand giving me "the look" again.

Aaron and I sat together again and I honestly remember nothing she said. Aaron said I was sleeping but eh, who cares. I at least looked awake, while the others looked, obviously asleep.

She called on Aaron and asked what she was talking about.

"We were talking about Romeo and Juliet."

"Angelica repeat my words" Aaron handed me my notebook without moving and I laid my pencil and notebook down. His writing looked exactly like mine. I read everything that "I" had written and she rolled her eyes silently

"Good job listening" she continued talking and I put the notebook back under the table giving it to Aaron to continue writing.

The bell rang and school was dismissed.

I ran to the barn since we had no homework. I tacked up Eclipse and started practicing for my dressage/jumping show this weekend. I had memorized the course and nailed it perfect as I saw Devin start clapping after I saluted.

"That looked awesome" he smiled and stood in the Arena entryway waiting for me,

"Thanks" I said as he watched me untack and put away all of Eclipses tack and get out all of Jedi's as I entered the other indoor arena set for jumping I squeezed him into a smooth canter as I thought of my instructions which were 'think 1,2 1,2 up' and I did clearing the jump perfectly and did the rest of the course with skill, once again Devin clapped when I finished, I rolled my eyes as I went and untacked Jedi and I gave both my horses a treat.

"Are they both yours?" I heard him say behind me

"Indeed" I said when I fed Eclipse her peppermint

"They are nice" I nodded in response

"Would you like to hangout?" He quickly asked after his comment. I shook my head.

"I must get back to my dorm," I said quietly

"What your dorm with two douches?"

"Don't you DARE say that about them" I stormed out of the barn as he caught my wrist and twirled me so we were inches away.

"I'm sorry" I said looking him in the eyes and he nodded

"It's ok" he looked at me and smiled. I smiled and we started walking back to the dorms, I felt sick and my vision spun

"I don't feel go-" I blacked out and smashed my head onto the concrete as Devin hurried to pick me up, not knowing what to do he started walking back to my dorm. I woke and he cradled me with my head in his shoulder for support. Then I blacked out again, finally I woke up in Luke's arms and Devin was sitting in the floor as Aaron stared at me. Luke kissed my forehead and I laid on him again as he wrapped his strong arms around me.

"How do you feel?" Aaron said now sitting on the edge of mine, and Luke's bed.

"I have a terrible headache" I mumbled as I rubbed my forehead. He got up and grabbed me an Advil and gave it to me with a bottle of water, I took it and cuddled up on Luke.

"Why does she shiver" Devin asked curiously

"She has a disease that causes her to become severely sick at times and black out, and a side effect that goes along with her black outs, is getting super cold and shiver no matter what temperature." Luke said and looked at Devin. Devin nodded and looked at me,

"It used to be where I would just keep blacking out and then wake up, and black out again, and it would continue for days, but one way I can tell if i'll black out is my vision will blur and then I normally try to say something related to feeling sick before I get cut off and I black out" as I took a deep breath and my vision blurred.

"Like now" and then I passed out. Luke had been rubbing my back gently s I laid curled up in his lap. I was still shivering so he grabbed my thick fuzzy blanket and wrapped me in it as he picked me up and laid me there. I'm gonna go get some pizza ill be back in a little. Luke looked at Devin

"This is the only time ill ever ask you to touch her, but please make sure she's warming up" Luke went outside and walked to the pizza place as he got fresh air.

"Well" Aaron looked at Devin as he saw how confused Devin was.

"Just do what Luke was doing, cradle her in your arms." He got up and picked me up, wrapped in the blanket and mimicked Luke, he had the same feel, just a different smell. I had woken up and Luke was still gone.

"How long?" I asked looking at Aaron

"About 45 minutes" he said looking at me.

I nodded and laid my head on Devins shoulder. I knew he had gotten the ok from Luke since he never let anyone touch me, since what Jake did.

Just then Luke burst through the door and locked it, my head hurt after he slammed the door and I brought my hands up to my head immediately,

"I'm so sorry Angelica" Luke said sensing I was in pain. I nodded as Aaron turned to him

"What the he-" he got cut short

"TURN ON THE DAMN TV" Luke said sternly to Aaron as the headline read;

"Shooting in the town surrounding Hill Top academy; we suggest all students get to dorm and block their doors."

That's what Luke was doing "FLUFF" I yelled sitting up and punched the wall. Aaron and Devin looked at me weird, but Luke came up and hugged me,

"It's ok, if you do, I've seen what the nurses do at the hospital"

Devin and Aaron were lost, thinking of the dumbest things that were going on, I hugged Luke back.

"But, I wh-" tears started streaming down my face as Luke held me and sat on the floor.
