Chapter 18

"That's not gonna happen Angel, believe it won't happen"

Devin finally spoke up

"What the hell is going on?"

"She's afraid what will happen if she blacks out and doesn't wake up, and yes it's happened, when Jake was still alive."

He rubbed my shoulder

"But that was before surgery"

I shook my head.

"it happened shortly after when me and Jake were out on a ride" i paused for a moment "before he hurt me"

Luke stared at me in horror and held me tight to his chest.

"So that's why you don't let people touch her" Devin looked at Luke while he nodded.

"That's the exact reason" Aaron said looking at Devin.

He nodded in realization now. For the most part it was quiet enough that me and Luke fell asleep.

When I woke up Aaron was staring in darkness as we had a candle lit in the center if the room.

I liked the smell of the candle, even though it was very dark, I could see everyone's expression,Devin, was blank, expressionless, Luke was asleep and smiling, while Aaron had the look, that he would punch anybody who came in.

"Aaron" I spoke softly and looked at him

"It's ok" I continued looking at him. I watched him wipe away tears and he looked at me

"Are you ok?" He asked me and I nodded

"Yeah, it's just my headache is back" I could see him frown. He knew what was next to come.

"You'll be ok" he paused between the words "be an ok."

Luke had just woken up as I got knocked out. I was out for a long time. When I woke up everyone was sleeping and I saw the sun through the eyehole on the door. I started coughing which woke Aaron up immediately.

"G'morning" he said smiling

I nodded. Devin was listening to our conversation, I saw him look at me.

"Did you lose your voice?" Aaron asked concerned, I nodded and he sighed.

"You'll get it back" he smiled and got up and carried me back to his bed

"Oh my god" he said when he picked me up

"You feel frozen" I shivered and cuddled into him, well when your sick there's nothing else to do other than be cuddled, at least with my condition that's what you do.

I laid on Aaron's chest as I was bundled in like 8 blankets. Luke woke up and nodded in thanks as he wrapped himself in a blanket, he was cold as well. We all were, it wasn't normal, all I wanted to do though, was sleep...
