Chapter 16

I felt like things changed between me and Luke. I was sad, he didn't seem to care as much and Aaron started to notice. We no longer cuddled ourselves to sleep and I rarely smiled. The alarm went off, it was 7:00 and I was already dressed as Aaron and Luke, just woke up,

"Good Morning" I said before walking out the door and I walked to class, the first day of school.

My first class was history, a boy named Devin, beat Drake to the seat next to me, I looked at him and shrugged.

"Ok class here are sign up forms to any sports" as she handed me I noticed horse back riding wasn't on here and I raised my hand

"Yes? Angelica"

"You said that we could sign up for any sport on this form but I realize that horse riding isn't on here, you do know more people die in horse jumping, and racing, than football, baseball, and basketball combined... And we worked with animals with a mind of their own who must be spoken to through silence." I stopped talking as everyone started to stare at me noticing that I was correct.

She ignored my comment and continued talking

"You must turn in your papers by Friday, for the rest of the time you may chat."

Devin looked at me and smiled

"Well your smart!" He smiled "your cute too" I smiled in response

"Thanks for the compliments" I added with my smile

"I mean I would rate you a 9 and I would be the 1 you need" I laughed

"Very funny" I grinned and looked at Drake for help.

"Well you should text me" he handed me his number and I politely put it in my pocket.

The bell rang and class was dismissed as me and Drake walked to the next class, Biology, we sat next to each other so Devin wouldn't and then Luke walked in and Drake moved allowing Luke to sit by me.

"You look beautiful" he whispered in my ear, while acting like he was looking out the window and I smiled.

"Hello class, I am Mr. Newsbom, your biology teacher, and for the first semester these will be your seats. You may talk for the rest of class"

I spoke with Luke "Are you ok?" I looked at him

"Yes why?"

"You just don't seem yourself" I played with his hand.

"Oh, well nothing is wrong" he smiled and he held my hand.

Time flew and the bell rang as me and Drake went to math and we sat together, Aaron walked in and motioned him away and I gave a slight smile,

"Miss Vanatello" he said like a gentleman

"Aaron" I smiled as we both started to laugh. The teacher introduced herself blah blah and then we could talk. I looked at Aaron.

"I'm worried about Luke" he picked up my hand and looked at me

"Don't be" he shook head, letting my hand fall.

"But, I tried speaking with him, and he wanted no conversation" I felt awkward talking with Aaron

"It's gonna be ok." He said encouragingly as he touched my cheek, sending shivers down my spine.

Chatting time felt like forever as I stared out the window as. Drake and Aaron conversed. I sighed as the bell rang to dismiss school. I put everything in my locker as I walked out the doors as some popular girl pushed me and Devin picked up the sports paper before quickly rushing to help me.
