Lucas

We had spent so much time talking to Eve that we lost track of time. "Shoot! Dustin it's seven!" I shouted looking at my watch. "Oh crap, mom is gonna kill me! Mike can we stay the night here and call our moms?" Dustin asked in a pleading voice. "Haha yeah sure, I'll go ask my mom to call them." He chuckled and jogged up the stairs.
"So Eve, Mike's mom is probably going to call us for dinner soon. You will have to stay here, ok? We will bring you some dinner down afterwards." I told her as she smiled and nodded at me, "Will you be ok on your own?" I asked and she nodded again.
"Ok guys you can stay over." Mike said as he came down the stairs grinning, "We can all sleep down here, oh yeah and dinner is ready." "Ok Eve we will be right back." I told her smiling, "Sure." She said returning the smile.
As we sat at the table I could tell all of us were expecting to see her walk up the stairs and wander through the house just as El did. We were all on edge and Nancy noticed. She shoved Mike and quietly asked what was going on. "I'll tell you after." He whispered and Dustin shot him a look as if to say what the hell Mike! I was about to as well when I remembered that she had kept El a secret from her parents after she found out. She has kept that secret for an entire year, so maybe she can help us.

Nancy

When the boys came up for dinner they were acting really strangely. I mean they usually are but tonight was different. They kept staring at the basement door and looking at each other with worried looks. I nudged Mike to try and find out what the deal is, he shushed me and said he would tell me after dinner.
I feel awful for Mike, this year has been so tough on him. I know he tries to act strong in front of his friends but he always looks tired. Most nights I can hear muffled crying coming from his room, I try my best to comfort him but in the end I feel exactly how he feels. Because of this have become a lot closer but I just wish it was under better circumstances.
While I was helping mom clean up Mike came up from the basement with another empty dinner plate, I looked at him with confused eyes and he rolled his and told me to come with him. I followed him down to the basement expecting to see a dog or something but there was a girl. She looked like Eleven but I could tell it wasn't. As I opened my mouth to ask what the heck was going on Dustin shouted "Please don't tell anyone!" "Wow Dustin, want to scream don't tell anyone any louder." Lucas said shooting him an sarcastic glare." "Haha whoops." He said showing a toothless smirk making me smile. I then looked to Mike "Want to tell me what's happening?" "Oh yeah," he said laughing, "Well this is Twelve but we are calling her Eve and we found her at Mirkwood this morning when we followed Dustin's dog. She was knocked out pretty bad so Lucas carried her all the way back here and wouldn't let us help for some reason. Also she is El's twin." I stood there in shock trying to process all if the information that was just thrown at me. The girl looked at me nervously, "Um, well ok," I began awkwardly before I composed myself, "Nice to meet you Eve, my name is Nancy, I'm
Mike's sister." "Nice too meet you too." She smiled. Wait... she can talk! The boys could tell I was surprised so they told me the rest of her story. I was utterly shocked but I promised not to tell anyone. I knew it would be hard but a promise is something I could never break.
