Chapter 9: Hopper

Dustin

We were all fast asleep when there was a loud knock on the back door of the basement. Mike shot up in his sleeping bag and stumbled to the door. "Oh hey Will." He said groggily as he opened the door wider to let him in.
"Uh hey." He said as he looking panicked and tired.
"Are you alright Will?" I asked and he shook his head sitting down beside me.
"I need to tell you guys something that has been bothering me for weeks and I need you to listen." He said looking us all in the eyes, Eve still soundly asleep.
We nodded, "I have been having these dreams, in them I have been myself but the past two nights I have been," he paused swallowing hard, "the monster, the one from the upside down." We all looked at him with confusion. "Go on." Lucas said with concern.
"That girl," he gestured at Eve, "In my dream the monster attacked her and clawed her, but Chewy protected her and fought it off. That dream was the night I woke up covered in blood, the night before we found her." He put his head is his hands and breathed deeply, "Last night, in my dream I was the monster again, I went to a tree in Mirkwood and the was like a portal or something. I went through it, and well it lead to  the upside down..."
"Like the one in the lab." I stuttered looking at the boys.
"The monster was heading for your house Mike. But it was stopped... there was a girl across the street. I think it was Eleven." He looked straight at Mike.
"Are you sure, what did she look like, is she ok!?" Mike was shouting, but he didn't release and he woke Eve up.
"Mike!" Lucas shoved him, "Calm down. It was just a dream right?" Lucas said putting his hand on Will's shoulder, "Right?"

Lucas

"I don't know..." Will looked down shaking his head. Eve sat up on her mattress and looked at Will with confused eyes.
"Good morning Eve." I said with a smile, "This is Will." I gestured to Will and he gave me a nervous glance. "Hi Will." She smiled warmly at him. My eyes were fixed on her, she has gone through so much but she is so kind.
"So are we going to go see Hopper?" Dustin asked snapping me out of my daze, "Huh? Oh yeah right."
The boys and I stood up and went to get changed while Nancy came down with a dress and jacket for Eve to wear.
"Are you ready?" I asked Eve as she came out of the bathroom wearing a light blue dress with purple flowers on it.
"Yep." She replied simply. Now I know how Mike felt when he saw El, Eve is beautiful.
"Lets go guys!" Mike shouted as he came down the stairs with Eggos for everyone. He glanced at Eve and smiled at her.
We walked out the back door and hopped on our bikes, Eve jumped on the back of mine and we set off.
"So what are we going to tell Hop exactly?" Will asked as we pulled up out the front of the station.
"We are going to tell him everything, if he has been inside Hawkins Lab, maybe he can tell us more about the gate and you can tell him about your dream." Mike answered.
"Lets go." I said as I lead the way up the stairs, giving Eve an encouraging look.

Hopper

"Hop!" I heard Flo shout from the front desk, "The boys are here to see you!"
"Send them in!" I shouted back and I put out my cigarette. The boys have been in countless times asking me questions about the upside down and the rest. When they came to the door Lucas and Dustin were bickering as per usual about god knows what.
"Hey boys! And girl." I furrowed my eyebrows together, she looks so much like Eleven.
"Ok so this is why we wanted to see you", Lucas began "this is Eve, we found her in Mirkwood around the same place as El." He continued before Dustin butted in, "When we found her she was knocked out so we took her back to Mikes and turns out-" Mike cut him off, "She is El's twin." He finished.
"Wait what?"
