Chapter 14: The awakening

"Shit, shit, shit! What do we do?" Dustin screamed, "Calm down!" I shouted back.
"Should we call an ambulance?" Max asked anxiously, "We can't risk it." I said looking at Dustin and Lucas, they nodded in agreement.
"Cant risk what?" Max asked hastily, furrowing her eyebrows. "We will explain later." Eve spoke up.
"We should call Ms Buyers." Lucas suggested. Sure she would question us about El and Eve but it's really the only way Will can be taken care of.
I ran up to the phone and dialled the Buyers phone, praying somebody would answer. "Hello, Joyce speaking." "Ms Buyers! Its Mike." I rushed out, "Hey Mike, what's up?" She sounded a little concerned. "Its Will, he fainted, he's out cold!" "I'll be right over." She said firmly and hung up the phone.
I ran back downstairs to the basement, "She's coming, it's ok."
"Ok so what are we going to tell her when she sees El and Eve?" Lucas spoke up. Max looked extremely confused. "We tell her exactly what happened." I said firmly, "Which is?" Max asked, we all looked around at each other, "Somebody tell her." I said rolling my eyes.
Dustin then took her aside and began telling her. Judging by her facial expressions he was telling her everything.
I heard a knock at the door and sprinted up the stairs, "Ms Buyers!" , "Hey, what happened?" She asked looking around for her son, I lead her down the stairs. "He um, he fainted."
When we reached the bottom and she looked up she nearly fell backwards after seeing El.
"What, how?" She muttered, we all looked around at each other, nobody knew what to say. She continued to look are when she saw Will laying on the couch where we had lifted him off the floor.
"Will!" She rushed to his side and began stroking his forehead. He began to stir, he was twitching slightly then he jolted upright suddenly, scaring everyone half to death.
"Oh my gosh!" Max shouted, clutching her chest in shock.
He turned his head around slowly to look at all of us, his mom put her hand on his shoulder, as soon as she did his head swung around suddenly to face hers. She jumped a bit, "Honey, are you alright?", she asked, her voice shaking, "I'm fine." He said and gave her a strange smile.
He seemed different, his eyes looked different, I couldn't tell what but he just was. I know I wasn't the only one who noticed, "Are you sure?" Lucas asked, Will slowly shifted his eyes from Ms Buyers to Lucas, his gaze was piercing.
"Yes Lucas, I'm fine." He said and gave a wicked smile. We all looked around at each other, not really knowing what to do. Something happened to Will, something awful.
"Wait, so how did all this happen?" Ms Buyers said gesturing to El and Eve.
"Well um, the other day when we were looking for Chewy, we found Eve or Twelve, she was knocked out, so I carried her back here." Lucas began, "She came from the same place El did, Hawkins Lab." I continued, them Eve spoke up, "Eleven, she is my sister, my twin."
"So then the next day we went to see Hop, and he was all like what the hell! And then he showed us the box thing that he had been feeding El through an-" I cut Dustin's rambling off. "And then we found the tree, a gate. Eve used the powers she didn't know she had and opened the gate back up enough for El to fit through and we pulled her out." I looked to El and smiled.
Ms Buyers looked at us in disbelief, then slowly began nodding her head. "Ok, so when are you going to tell your mom?" She asked me, "Soon hopefully." I answered.
"Hey if it doesn't work out let me know alright?" "Yeah sure."
"Ok Will lets go." Ms Buyers said standing, holding her hand out to help Will up. He stood up himself and stared at all of us with a strange expression. "Thanks for calling me Mike." Ms Buyers told me before walking up the stairs.
"No problem!" I shouted, not knowing if she heard.
I turned back to Will who was looking at his close fist, smiling slightly. "See you later guys." He said and walked past the table, placing whatever was in his hand in the centre of the Dungeons and Dragons board.
Dustin and Max ran after him to make sure he made it to the car ok.
El walked up to the table and picked up the item. She looked at it with wide eyes, then brought it over to me and put it in my hand, not saying anything. I opened my hand. Sitting in my palm was the Demogorgan piece.
