Changes: {George Weasley}

XXX: They Find Out

         Later in the week, Andromeda properly moved with Teddy and I got Howl settled at a small barn in the back of the house. It was nice, Teddy was very happy with the place. Even if Andromeda wasn't really happy with it, I think George was just happy to live with people again. In the weekend, at supper time we heard a knock on the door.

"Kreacher, can you get the door." I shouted. Kreacher nodded and opened the door with a snap.

"Andromeda! Why didn't you tell me you moved here?!" I could hear Narcissa say from the front door. Andromeda rolled her eyes. Narcissa had way too much time on her hands. Meanwhile, Andromeda was supposed to work but decided to stay taking care of Teddy. I inherited my family's money so I had no problem lending a hand.

"Come in, Narcissa. We're in the dining room." Andromeda shouted back. Narcissa appeared with Draco by her side.

"I'm so glad you decided to come back." Narcissa said. "I have you closer now. And your grandmother would be so happy to see you." I awkwardly smiled.

"Join us, Aunt Cissy." I said. "I'll fetch a few plates."

"Don't be silly." Narcissa said. "The house-elves will take care of it."

"It's okay, I got it." I said. Accio plates and cutlery. Three plates and such came flying to the table.

"Oh, Lucius won't be joining us." Narcissa said.

"Yeah, I know." I said. "It's for George Weasley." Narcissa cringed at that.

"Are you dating that.. Weasley?" She asked.

"Nope." I said.

"He sure spends a lot of time with you." She said. Draco chuckled.

"You have no idea, mother." He sniggered. I rolled my eyes. George apparated right then. His eyes widened at the sight of Narcissa and Draco.

"Good afternoon." George said. Nobody said anything.

"Come, sit here." I said and stood up. "Help yourself." George smiled at me. He sat down and I put my hands on his shoulders.

"So, are you two together?" Narcissa asked raising an eyebrow. Of course she had to ask him too.

"Actually, we're working on that." George said as he placed his hand on mine. Draco looked confused.

"It's complicated still." I said.

"What's so complicated?" Narcissa asked. George opened his mouth to speak.

"Let me handle it." I said. "I'm thinking of moving to America again." They all widened their eyes. They all knew except Narcissa but I hadn't told anyone except George that I was leaning into taking the job.

"Yeah.. I was offered a job, Aunt Cissy. In Ilvermorny." I said. "I have to respond to the job offer before May so I dunno if forming a relationship would be healthy." Part lie, part truth. I wasn't going to tell her that George rejected me.

"What were you waiting for before telling me?" Narcissa asked.

"I wanted to have a decision made." I said. "I don't want anyone to influence it."

"But, Gianna." Narcissa said. "Your family left enough money for you to not work a day in your life and if you run out we're always here."

"Yes, I know that." I said. "I'm aware but I like working with Hippogriffs and I might be leaning into leaving. But of course I had to discuss this with you all." They just looked at me. George mouthed something to me and exited the room."Well, you know that I love you all. And, that I don't want to hurt any of you and I've done hours of thinking.. I really want to go and pursue my dream but I'm afraid to let all of you go."

"You know that we can't control you." Andromeda said.

"But we do want what's best for you." Narcissa said. "I want you to stay."

"I know, a big part of me wants to stay too." I said. "I decided to come back and see how my life would be eventually if I stayed.."

"So that's why you're all peachy with the Weasley boy." Draco said.

"He has a name." I said. "I really care about him too. Anyways, this is a decision that only I can do and you know, I would appreciate if you guys understood."

"No." Narcissa said. "We've only just got you back."

"I know, Aunt Cissy.." I said. "But I've always wanted to do this. I dunno yet. I'm still working on it." They just looked at me.

"I'm expecting you to stay." Narcissa said.

"Okay. I'll be in my room." I said. "Thanks for hearing me out." And with that I apparated to my room. A few seconds later I heard a knock.

"Come in." I said.

"Mistress, Winky heard about what you said." Winky said. "Winky and Kreacher don't want you to leave again."

"That's great to know, Winky." I said. "I'm glad to hear that. Would that be all?" Winky nodded. "Take tomorrow off. Send George in." Winky opened the door to reveal George.

"I also heard everything." He said.

"And you think I'm crazy." I said.

"Yeah. But who ever liked normal?" He said and smiled.

"I'm glad to hear that." I said. "What do you think I should do?"

"If I'm being selfish, I would say I want you to stay." He said. "But realistically that job is outstanding." I smiled and sighed.

"I'd see it the other way." I said. "I would be selfishly leaving."

"Gianna,  you've done everything for your family." George said. "Everything for everyone really. You bloody offered me housing. And you work at my shop without pay. Do something for yourself for once."

"I'll consider it." I said. I really didn't know what to do.
