The day of the Charity Event arrived and I was regretting it. I tried my dress on again and as I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I was just entirely unsatisfied with everything. My hair was a mess, the dress made me look three times larger than I actually was and my makeup didn't seem to cooperate with my face. I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in." I said. Winky came in curiously looking around at the mess I had made.

"Winky heard Mistress Gianna's screams and was concerned." She said.

"It's all good. Thanks for checking up."

"D'you..need help?" Winky said.

"You can certainly try." I said. She snapped her fingers and my hair fell into place.

"You're a miracle worker, Winky." I said. "I'm very grateful."

"You're welcome, Mistress." Winky said before exiting. I calmed down and started reapplying makeup to my face. I heard a knock on the door. Andromeda opened it before I could say anything.

"Dear, we must be going." She said. "You look lovely."

"Is George back from work?" I asked. She nodded.

"He's changing in his room. Come on. Hurry up." I finished my makeup and put heels on. I looked in the mirror once again, unhappily. Whatever.

"Gianna." I heard George's voice from the other side of the door.

"Coming." I said and sighed. I walked up to the door and George turned the knob and opened it.

"Your carriage awaits, m'lady." He said and linked our arms. "You look very nice." I blushed.

"Thanks, sir." I said. "You yourself are looking quite dapper." He chuckled.

"Wow, Aunt Gianna." Teddy said as he saw me. "You look so pretty."

"You guys get going. I'm going to wait for Harry. He's late." Andromeda said. We nodded. We went outside to see a carriage pulled by three Pegasus.

"Whoa, you were serious about the carriage." I said. He chuckled and we went in and proceeded to fly to the secret place of choice. I kept fidgeting.

"Nervous?" George asked. I nodded.

"My parents were two of the biggest ambassadors and they turned out to be Death Eaters. I haven't seen most people from there since the last event before they died. What would they think of me?" I said. He just squeezed my arm and grabbed my hand.

"You'll be alright." He said.

"Thanks for coming with me, by the way." I said. "It means a lot."

"It's my pleasure." He said. We arrived at the place, which was a beautiful castle in Japan. Andromeda was already there.

"Apparating is more efficient." She said. We met with Draco and Astoria. "Where's my sister?"

"She's inside already. They're announcing just us soon." Draco said."You should get going. They're announcing the adults first."

"I really hate that." She said before leaving.

"You guys look lovely together." Astoria said. I chuckled.

"Thanks but-" I started but was interrupted.

"Gianna, Gianna." I heard a voice say. I looked back to see Daniel. Before I could react, he hugged me.

"Hey, Daniel." I said as I let go of him.

"Weasley." Daniel said and shook hands with George and later shook hands with Draco.

"Astoria, this is my friend from Ilvermorny, Daniel." I said.

"Nice to meet you." Astoria said.

"You four are next." One of the attendants said. We walked to the entrance door, leaving Daniel. The door opened and we entered. Strangely, Flitwick was announcing.

"The children of our most reputable ambassadors, Draco and Gianna, with their chosen dates." He said as we walked. George and I had our arms linked and you could just see Flitwick's excitement when he saw George. I smiled at him. We took our seats next to Andromeda, Narcissa and Lucius along with the Greengrasses.

A few tables away sat Daniel's mother who seemed disappointed at the fact that I brought a date unlike her son. The ambassadors said a few words along with the headmasters and headmistresses from the Wizarding Schools and then we were left "enjoy" the ball. There were stations were we could see the different arts. There was a string-quartet, a rock band, painters displaying their work and etc. I attempted to engage in a normal conversation with my family but failed miserably and decided to take George to one of the stations. I was stopped halfway by Daniel's mother.

"Gianna! You think you could just ignore me like that." She said as she hugged.

"I wouldn't dream of it." I said. "I was just looking for you."

"So, who's this lovely young man?" She asked me.

"This is George Weasley. He's an old friend." I said. George placed his arm around me and squeezed my shoulder.

"Are you two dating?" She asked.

"No, not quite." George said.

"Oh." She said with satisfaction. "Anyways, I'd love to have a word with you about the job, Gianna." I nodded. George pulled me closer to him in a weird side-hug and left us. "Walk with me outside please."

"You look very nice, Catherine." I said.

"Thanks, dear. So do you." She said. "About the job. Sweetheart, Daniel has told me that you're still not sure about it. I want you to know that it's an amazing opportunity." My mind was racing and as she spoke, I only heard gibberish. "It would be great if you would finally give us our answer."

"I accept it." I blurted out without thinking. She looked startled.

"You've made the right choice, Gianna." She said, smiling slyly. "We'll be expecting you in a month."

"A month?"

"Indeed. New teachers are given a head start with the old ones." She said before leaving. I plopped down on the steps of the balcony stairs and just looked at the sky for what seemed like an eternity.

"Gianna." I heard an all-too-familiar voice. I looked up at its beholder.

"I took the job." I said. "George, I have to leave in a month." He just looked at me and sat down next to me.
