chapter 17

roc's p.o.v

When jammie brought me upstairs I saw ray with a bat in his hands about to hit her.I pointed to him and he knocked her down.They started fighting and I started to crawl to save her.I feel even weaker then before. I keep using every muscle in my body to move towards her but I cant. I feel my cheeks becoming so wet with tears falling down. Then I see kiana amd prince come in.There faces shows how their feeling so much. Scared,frightened,anger, the next thing I know,Kiana then shoots the gun..

kiana's p.o.v

I slowly open my eyes and see ray ray on the floor with a puddle of blood under him.

I cover my mouth in shock but also I'm relieved i didn't hurt jammie. Jammie is still against the wall coughing and regaining breath. I run over to her hugging her tightly slowly rocking back and forth.I feel her wet tears on my shirt and thank god she is still here. I glance to my right and see prince helping up roc. Jammie lets go of me and walks over to the boys.

Jammie's p.o.v

While ray is chocking me I hear a big bang.I open up my eyes and ray falls to the floor.Kiana runs up to me and hugs me tightly.Then roc's name pops up in mind.I let go of kiana and see prince struggling to lift up roc.I run and help prince while hugging both of them.

"Prince listen in sorry for accusing you"

"I know its okay jammie."

"Baby"roc says in a weak voice.

"Yes roc"

"Lets get out of here"

We started for the door then we heard running and screaming.I turned around and saw the girl I never wanted to see in my life again.Cindy.

"What did you do to him"!!!she screamed in a high pitched voice.

Everyone was silent.

"Oh so y'all don't wanna talk now.You actin like y'all don't know me huh.How about this then"

She pulled outa gun then pointed it to me.She clicked the trigger.And I got pushed on the ground.I looked up and saw this dark skinned guy with a curly high top wearing all black.He pulled out a gun a pointed it to Cindy.He shot her and grabbed the gun from her and slid it to me.He then ran out the house.I got up grabbed the gun and checked outside.I couldn't see anything it was pitch black.We started to hear sirens and I saw the lights coming toward rays place in the distance.We all run into prince's car and take off riding right by the police car.We all are silent in the car.

"Jammie I will drop you and roc off at his house okay"prince says

"Okay.Hey kiana you want to spend the night"

She didn't respond to me.She was just looking out the window mumbling something.

"Kiana"

She turns to me with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I killed someone jammie.."

"Listen k-"

"No jammie don't say it will be okay or I did it for a good reason.My mom taught me to love not kill.But what did I do.I will never forgive myself.What if the police finds out.I bet they will.I'm gonna be behind bars.I didn't wanna see another person killed but I'm the one who did the killing."

I had nothing to say to her.

"Kiana they wont catch us"prince said

"Thats not the point.Prince did you kill anyone.No I don't think so."

Prince pulled up to rocs house.

I got out and helped roc out the car.

"You coming kiana"

She shook her head no and gave me a slight wave.

Me and roc stumble to the door and come inside.Everything is the same of how we left it that day.

"Jammie I'm gonna sleep on the couch tonight. I don't think I can make it up those stairs and i know your back hurts."

"Okay roc ill sleep down here with you"

I go grab some covers and lay down with roc.He wraps his arms around me and lays his head on my neck.I feel his small breaths on my neck tickling me.All I could think about is that guy who saved me.How did he know me.Why did he save me.He risked his life for me and i don't even know his name.
