a week later
Roc's p.o.v
-Dream mode-
It was dinner time in our house.We were having one of those frozen dinners from Kroger.To be honest ,I hated those dinners.I liked dinner so much better when my mom cooked.But she rarely did that anymore.I looked down at the frozen dinner in disgust.
"Chresanto eat your food."my mom said.
"Mom this is disgusting,can you please make my favorite chicken pot pie"i say pleading with her.
"No! Now stop being ungrateful and eat this food."
"No"I say
"Chresanto please eat"ella says.
"Mom,tell me you love me"I say
"What!"she says shocked.
"I wont eat intill you tell me you love me,you haven't said it since Daniel's death,and I just really need to kn-"
"Chresanto don't start"mother said.
"Why cant you say it,"
"Ohhh I understand.You cant say it because you don't mean it."I say hurt
"Don't talk to me like that! Now eat"she says angrily
I shake my head with my eyes watering up. Like think about it. My own mother cant even tell me she loves me.
"Fine"my mom screams. She gets up and slaps me dead in my face.
"You will respect me,in my house.You know matter of fact!I don't even want you here.I wish it could just be me and ella since you killed Daniel's."
"Mom you know chres didn't kill Daniel"ella says standing up for me.
"Shutup ella"my mom says.
"Now chres go to the closet"
I walk to the closet with no questions asked and just go in my corner and cry.I hear ella and my mom yelling over me,and ella trying to go in there with me but she wont let her. No more eating. No more love. No more talking.Give her what she wants.
I wake from my sleep panting and looking around frantically.
Oh just another dream.Every night I've been having dreams about bad tines in my childhood.You don't know how much I wish I could dream about the good days with Daniel.I get up without waking Jammie and go downstairs and get my daily breakfeast cereal and start watching the play offs.
Jammie's pov
So not a lot has happened except prince leaving everyday and me and roc just having some quality time together. But now I'm too happy !! I talked to aunt Deena and found that roc's sister doesn't live far away. So aunt deena called her up and she said she is coming today. But it is a surprise for roc.I felt really bad how he feels like he failed her and know they haven't seen each other in a while.So me being a good girlfriend I felt I should set them up to see each other again.
"Hey jammie"aunt deena says.
"Yeah"
She motions for me to come here.
"Roc's sister Ella is outside waiting to come in"
"Oh okay,im so excited im about to let her in"I say clapping my hands together.
I walk to the door and see roc on the couch eating lucky chrams .
I open the door and see this light skinned tall slim girl wth a short bob with bangs.She is very pretty, but im not surprised since she is roc sister.I give her a hug and she hugs me back and walks in the house carefully.
"Hey roc,I have a surprise for you turn around"
He turns around and his mouth drops open.
"Ella?''he says shocked.
"Yes is me "she says happily
She runs up to him and they hug for a long time. Then she gives aunt deena a long hug.
"So I met your beautiful girlfriend chres"
"Oh yeah this is jammie"roc says grabbing me into a hug.
"We met."I say smiling.
"Wait are you the one who brought her here"roc says surprised.
"Yeap well with the help of aunt deena"
"Come on now it was jammie's idea " Aunt Deena says.
"Well thanks bae"roc says kissing my cheek.
So I go put ella's stuff in the closet downstairs.She is staying for a week.Roc and her are on the couch talking about there new lives.She seems really nice and funny and very open.
"So how did you and jammie meet?"
"Well it was in 5th grade at recess.She was on the slide and Princeton pushed her and she fell into me.The teachers gave us no recess for the rest of the week because they said we were playing rough.Then after that we started to become bff's."
"Awe isn't that so sweet" ella says cheesing.
I walk over and sit on roc's lap.
"Well come on jammie lets go upstairs and have some girl talk."
"Okay"
We go upstairs in me and roc's room.
"So how was roc before I met him"
"Well you know.. he had a hard life."
"What do you mean"
"You know his mom..abusing him.
Wait I thought roc said his sister is the one who got abused.?
"But I thought you were the one who got abused"
"What? no! "
"I don't believe that roc got abused by his mom it seems unreal."
Im sorry.I will not believe that my strong boyfriend got abused.He would never be dishonest with me.He would most defiantly tell me .
"Aunt deena can you come here" ella shouts downstairs.
"Yes hun"aunt deena says coming in the room shutting the door.
"Tell jammie about roc's childhood"
"You mean ."
"Yea that"
"Well jammie chresanto got abused by his mom."
"Well how details"
"I'll tell her.Almost every night she would throw chresanto in the closet for no reason.He could do the simplest mistakes and get punished for it.She didn't love him and made sure he knew it.He wouldn't really eat she tried to starve him so I had to sneak food to him.For a while that was good for him one meal a day.But then he refused to eat he said he wouldn't eat till he got love.He became anorexic.But he went to a clinic when he became older. I tried to be bad so I could be in the closet with my brother but she would never put me in there.I never understood.I think she hated him because him and Daniel were so alike.They were the closest brothers could get.She wanted roc to become Daniel but it wasn't possible.After Daniel's death she turned into a bipolar mother."
"How did Daniel die?"
"A drive by.Roc and him were outside playing with this new scooter.Then I'm guessing a car drove by and shot Daniel.I dont know who is sick enough to kill a child.Chresanto ran inside the house and told mom.We went to the hospital but they said Daniel was killed instantly by the shots."
"Thats terrible...how old was he?"I say
"Daniel was 9 and roc was 7"
It was silent. Ella was looking out the window and aunt deena was just shaking her head. I cant beileve this.
"Maybe you should go talk to roc"aunt deena suggest.
I walk downstairs and see roc smiling at me.
"So what you girls talk about"roc says.
"Daniel" I say blankly.
His expression went from smiling to a serious face.
"What did they tell you"
"How you got abused and his death..but most of all how you lied to me"
"Jammie. I didnt want you to know"
"Why not! I told you everything about me. No one knows about the cancer but you!Not even kiana or prince.I trusted you with my deepest secret and I thought you trusted me.
"I do trust you"
"Must not..look I really just wanna comfort you and say I'm sorry..but I'm way too mad at how you looked me dead in my eyes and lied.You lied.If you would've said Jammie there is something very serious and personal and I dont wanna share.I would've said okay thats fine.I would never pressure you to tell me something.But no you couldn't have done that.You choose to lie to me."
"Im sorry"
"Your sorry? Thats it all you can say is you sorry.I don't see how I trusted you before since you cheated on me."
"Woah don't go saying I do that because I didn't cheat.You know what happened with Cindy"
"Do I? I mean you could've been lying since you just lied to my face."
"Oh my god"
"Whatever just leave me alone" I say walking away.
Princeton's p.o.v
So its been a week since me and mari have been going out.She is so pretty and funny and full of life.We meet at the art place daily.We got kicked out the art classes because we just talked . I asked her to be mine two days ago and she said yes.I think its time to tell jammie and roc because im really falling for her.So I go pick up mari and drive to aunt deena's house.When I walk in I see roc on the couch with his hands covering his face looking pretty stressed.Maybe this isnt a good time but then I see mari looking all excited and anxious.(picture of mari on the right)
"Hey roc I need to talk to you and Jammie."
"Well jammie wont talk to me so good luck"roc says looking up.
"Who is she?"roc ask
"Jammie come here" I yell
She comes down eye balling mari.
"Yes?"
"Well jammie and roc I wanted to introduce my girlfriend mari"
"Hi" she smiles and waves at them.
They just look at me then her.
"Im not in the mood for this"Jammie says about to walk upstairs.
"Wait jammie,do you have anything to say to her"
"Hi."jammie says crossing her arms.
Mari smiles at her.
"Aye prince how you know she aint working with ray.I mean jammie just got attacked like a week ago"roc says
"What are you talking about"I say confused.
"When did you meet her"Jammie ask raising one eyebrow.
"A week ago"
"What a coincidence"roc says
"Get rid of her"jammie says.
"What?"mari says.
"Wait y'all are trying to say I cant have a girlfriend because ray hired her,he is dead!"
"No he isnt.I wouldve told you that I got attacked by one of his workers if you werent too busy with this thot"
"Wow ,look I don't know what i did to you all but I'm not a thot or working for ray or whatever.I'm not about to be in a relationship with you princey if your friends feel like I'm out to get them.I dont think this is gonna work.Im sorry, goodbye."mari said walking out the door.
"Wait mari wait"I say going after her.
"What jacob"mari says with tears in her eyes.
"Your crying?"I say
"Yes,I really liked you but your friends dont want us to be."
"Its not there choice mari"
"What are you saying"
"Come on"
I lead mari back into the house.I see jammie making food and roc still on the couch.
"Look you both are gonna just deal with amaria because she is mine and im not letting her go."
"Prince if you continue to go with her your leaving this house"jammie says.
"Jammie this isnt your house you cant controll that."
"But I can,and I can tell my aunty anything,its us or her."roc says standing up.
"Prince lets just call it off" mari says releasing my hand.
"No"I say grabbing her hand back.
"I guess im moving out"
Jammie's p.o.v
Is prince really gonna leave.Don't get me wrong that girl is pretty but is she worth it. I mean he just met her.We have known eachother for like ever.I just doont trust no more.Like my boyfriend lied to me and im sure not gonna believe this new girl that popped out of nowwhere and prinecetoon is just blinded and is a hopeless lover.But I don't want prince to leave.He is my best friend since Kiana isn't here.
"Prince, are you really leaving"I say softly.
"Yeah"he says walking upstairs to get his stuff.
Amaria is just standing there alone since prince left her."Im sorry" she says.I look at her and walk upstairs.I look down the hall and I see him packing his clothes in the same peace suitcase and taking posters down.I go inside my room and lock the doors and go to sleep.
Roc's pov
This is literally the worst day.My baby is mad at me and probably wont trust me anymore,she knows my childhood and thinks that I'm a wimp and a sap.And to top it off my bestfriend is leaving me my best friend is leaving me .
Prince's pov
I packed my stuff and seen mari still standing in the same position rubbing her arm looking nervous.
"Ready" I say smiling
"Yeah.."
"Goodbye prince"roc says.
I ignore him and close the door.
So is mari bad or are they just overreacting?is prince really gone? was jammie wrong for being mad 2+comments 1+ vote. For next chapter.
