Author's point of view :
Soha came out of the club after fifteen minutes exactly when Manik was on the main road driving down the streets like the other 25 year old guys do when they have an interesting match awaiting them but Malhotra was different. He had his daughter waiting back home.
Soha wasn't really in a mood to walk down the street to grab a taxi at the peek hour because she knew she would get none. She simply stood outside the club cum hotel with one of her broken sandals in her hand and the that clutch in the other. She wasn't really just standing there but muttering curses to Manik Malhotra for having been so mean to not have waited for her.
"dekho.. Kya zamana aa gya hai.. Yha 23 ki ladkio ko boyfriend nhi milte aur yeh mahashay apni beti ke liye ghar bhaag rhe hai!"she said as she finally got one way to reach home before her landlady starts calling her and starts blasting her with questions.
Soha took out her cell from the clutch and dialed a number that she by chance remembered.
"hello!"shouted the voice from the other end. There was alot of noise on the other side and she knew she was definitely getting help now.
"oo mere pyaar mei pagal aashiq! Bahar aa i need your help!"she said as she too screamed on the phone to make it audible to guy on the other end.
"kya hai yaar... Tum dono saheliya mujhe party bhi ni karne dogi!"he said almost irritated but Soha couldn't help smiling.
"aajao na.. Dekho.. Mai time pe ghar ni pahunchi toh mere ghar ki jo malkin hai vo khaana toh bilkul ni degi.. Aur mujhe ghar mei bhi ni ghusne degi! Please aaja Maddy!"she said and Maddy huffed in withdrawal.
"aaya!"he said finally knowing he could win over these besties.
Since morning Maddy had been getting calls after calls of an hysteric Navya who wanted to tell him something he wasn't in a mood to talk about. About Manik. As yet Maddy wasn't really aware of Manik adopting Medha and even today when Navya tried speaking to him about Manik, that was almost after an year that Navya had mentioned Manik in their conversation, he disconnected the call without letting her complete. He didn't want to know however Manik was after what he'd done to his best friend.
Maddy came out of the party and headed towards his car knowing well that Soha would be waiting for him there.
"oye chalti phirti Chandelier sandal hath mei le ke kyu khadi hai!"he said as soon as he reached his car and found soha leaning over the bonnet.
"abey dil phek aashiq.. Mai koi chappal ki dukan toh kholne ni vaali ki sandal ko haath mei show piece bana ke lekar ghumungi.. Toot gyi hai dikhayi ni de rha!"she said even more sarcastically.
"haan bilkul.. Tu na sachi mere pyaar ki dushman hai.. Jab mujhe koi aisi ladki milti hai jo mujhe achhi lagti hai  tab tujhe beech mei tapakna hota hai.."he added as he unlocked the car.
"tu rehne de! Tujhe har din ek nyi ladki se pyaar hota hai.. Chal mujhe ghar drop kar de!"she sat in.
"haan beta maine toh taxi service khol rakhi hai.."he looked at her faking annoyance.
"personal taxi service meri jaan!"she laughed pulling his cheeks while he gaped at how carefree yet amazing this girl in front of him could be.
Soha had changed and for good Maddy knew this since all the time he had known her. Everybody has a past and around him everyone had one.. Except him.
Soha's legit ex-boyfriend, the one she had given  up everything for-her friends, her family, her life, had betrayed her with her own cousin. She was in Delhi back then when she had met her supposed love of life and the first month and a half was pretty much like a fairytale after which started the real life. Anothet half month and she knew things had gone out of hands and what was left were just the ruins. She had seen most of what she never imagined she would in that half month. Her own cousin was sleeping around in her boyfriend's room in his clothes. She knew there was nothing left to be brought back to normal. She was broken, emotionally, physically.. She had finally decided to move out of that city to cope up with herself and thus she now stands amidst the New york streets. This city had given her a new life, a new beginning, a new set of Bestfriends and of course a new world where it was just the three of them. She, Maddy, and her soul sister Ninu. Yes that's what she calls her because Nandini is a rather too big a name and when you put Murthy after that it sounds like a pilgrimage place. Well! Then it's not wrong when we say like minds attract but broken hearts attach! Soha and Nandini dwelled in each other's pain so perfectly that they never felt like they had met just a year ego but it seemed like ages.
Though Soha doesn't know the whole of the story about Nandini's past.. But she knows that Nandini had also had a break up with love of her life.
Why are these love of lives soo annoying?
Maddy wasn't just staring at her but also wondering he'd managed to create a life of his own. A guy who had no definition of friends in his dictionary till the last year now had a thesis written on the same, entitled Family. Yes these two ladies had become his family whom he could look upto any moment of his life and for whom he could give his own life for their sake and even take someone's, for that matter.
Maddy hadn't known any Soha until Nandini after she had settled in NY introduced her to him as her college mate. Maddy wasn't really a college lover but he made sure that his company sponsored Nandini and Soha's college for every event they had.
He had known everything about both the others' past and now all he tried was to keep them away from all the sadness and heart breaks that came their way. He was a cassanova for the world but he was the protector of his ladies and that was one reason he never allowed Navya to talk to Nandini about Manik. He knew she had been through alot. It wasn't his jealousy for the fact that somewhere down Nandini still loved Manik but it was just his way of protecting her from another heart break.
"oye! Chale?"Soha asked getting Maddy to his zone and he smiled genuinely.
"jo hukum!"he acted and then ignited the engine, driving off to the main road as they continued their laughing, giggling, fighting and their conversations.
