BOOM! It shook the lab. "Yo gray? What was that?" Jax walked into the correct questioning what Dr Stein and Cisco were doing. After the death of Ronnie Raymond, Jefferson Jackson, or as his friends call him, Jax, was the other half of firestorm. "Barry just passed Mach 1!" Jax looked at Cisco confused. "So? He's gotten to Mach 3 before hasn't he?" Cisco nodded. "Yes but he hasn't hit Mach 1 this fast before. He made it in less that 5 seconds." Just at that moment impulse sped into the room. "Hey guys, anything going on?" Cisco shook his head. "No. Nothing, except for new records being made!" Bart questioned Cisco about what this meant, to which he replied about how Barry made it to Mach one in 4 seconds. "So what if he did that, I've made it in one second." There was a beep on the computer as Barry stopped running around the pipeline, and into the cortex. "There's no way you've made it one second. Not even Zoom could go that fast." Bart laughed. "Yes I can. I can be in two places at once." It was Barry's turn to laugh. "Oh now there's where I know you're lying. There's. No speedster can be at two places at once. No matter how much we wish for it." There was an alarm, and a live feed from the elevator camera showed up on the TV's in the cortex. "Who is that?" On the screen was a man who could only be described as pathetic. He had a scraggly beard, messy hair, and his face looked like it was sinking to the ground. He was wearing a cop's uniform. "That," Barry said, "is August Heart. He's a cop at CCPD, and he was struck by a lightning bolt, that came from a speed force storm cloud. I've been training him to use his speed." Bart turned to Barry. "He's a speedster?" Barry scoffed. "Yeah but not a good one. He trips after any bit of running with powers, and he can't even run that fast." Cisco minimized the camera alert from the TV's. "Do you need to change into your suit?" Barry shook his head. "No he's known since I started training him. Actually he was the one who found me when I got struck." After a minute or two, August walked into the cortex. "Hey Barry. Did you hear that white speedster killed again?" Barry's face turned to shock. "No what happened?" August took a deep breath. "It was a massacre. At least a dozen people." Barry took a step back. "Do you have a list of names?" August shook his head. "No, but I was gonna ask you to come to the crime scene with me." Barry nodded. "Okay let's go. Do you want me to give you a lift?" August smiled. "That depends, do you mean in a car?" Barry laughed. "I don't own a car." Barry ran and grabbed August, and stopped about two blocks before where August said the crime scene was. "Oh man Barry, that's probably as fast as I've ever gone. I need to go throw up. But hey I made a run without falling! That's pretty good. I'll see you later." Barry waved at him. "Yeah I'll see you August." Barry walked towards the crime scene.

Bart walked around the cortex. "Isn't there anything to do around here?" Cisco thought for a moment. "Well you could prove to us that you can really pass Mach 1 in a second."
"I'll prove it. But I wanna put some money on it." Cisco smiled. "Do you even have money? Don't they use some future currency that we don't have?"
"No we just use a physical version of bitcoin. It's really a good product, and everyone in the world uses it." Bart pulled out some gold coins with a B on them. "Oh good, so I can have a bunch of coins that I can't use for a century."
"Alright I'll tell you what. I'll travel to any time you want me to and I'll get you whatever you want. But only if I can't pass Mach 1 in a second."
"And if you can, what do you want from me?" Bart though for a moment. "If I pass Mach 1, then you make me a new suit." Cisco nodded. "Alright deal." Bart went down to the pipeline, and listened for Cisco to say something on his com set. "Alright Bart. You see that motion sensor on the ground?" Bart looked down, and a laser powered up. "That is going to start a stopwatch. When you pass Mach 1 and create a sonic boom, the sensors in the pipeline are set to stop the timer when hit by a percussive blast. The sonic boom should take care of that. Are you ready?" Bart got down onto his hands and got ready to run. Bart took a few deep breaths and then took off. He was already at a full sprint, and could feel himself moving faster than he had before. He heard a loud boom coming from all around him. And he slowed to a jog, and then skidded into a stop. "How fast was that?" Cisco spoke into the com. ".89 seconds." Bart ran back into the cortex. "I guess you owe me a new suit then." Cisco nodded. "I'll get to work on that." There was a beep from the computer, and a notification popped up. Cisco ran to the computer and turned on the microphone. "Barry what's up?"
"Cisco I put a tracker on August when I ran him downtown, can you activate it?" Cisco went to work on the computer. "Yeah man, why do you need it?" The tracker showed up on the screen. "The murders were all speedsters, except for one. His name was Billy Parks. Where is August?!"
"He's on 5th avenue. But he's moving fast Barry. Almost as fast as you."

Barry ran towards 5th avenue and followed the trail of lightning. He caught up and called out to August. "We need to talk!" August nodded and led Barry to a field. "Jeez Barry you should be careful sneaking up on a guy like that."
"I've been looking into the white speedster's victims August. There was one victim who didn't have access to the speed force." August looked confused. "That doesn't really fit his M.O."
"The speedsters' deaths... they were killed because they had the speed force ripped out of them. But this one. This victim was dragged August. Dragged at super speed." Barry started to take his mask off. "Sounds like it was personal." August started to smile. "It was Billy Parks. The man you suspected murdered your brother. Tell me you didn't do this August." August sighed. "He deserved to die."
"Billy could have been innocent, the evidence never-" August interrupted  him. "My gut is right, he did it Barry." Barry got frustrated. "We don't know that."
"Yes we do!"
"My father was innocent and spent 15 years in prison because the police were wrong. What if you're wrong?"
"I'm not! I thought you of all people would understand that I just wanted justice for my brother."
"Killing Parks wasn't justice!"
"What is!? You telling me you still trust the system?" Barry shouted at the top of his lungs. "Yes!"
"You said it yourself, they let your father rot in prison. They let my brother's killer walk. You weren't there with me Barry. You were my friend, and you were too busy playing hero as the flash to help me with his case. You weren't there when I had to tell my mom and dad that the monster who killed there son was going free."
"You murdered a man!" The wind started to blow really hard. "I took a criminal off the streets, and the others were just wasting their powers." Barry looked at August. "What? Did you kill the speedsters too?" August shook his head. "Don't turn this into another tragedy for you to make in your life story." Barry was confused. "What are talking about?" August smiled. "It's who you are. As the flash, and as a CSI. The only thing that gets Barry Allen out of bed in the morning is death. Why do you think Thawne killed your mother?" Barry backhanded August. "You know when I was trying to come up with a code name for myself, I thought of calling myself 'New and Improved Flash.'" Lightning started coming off of August. "Because you clearly weren't cutting it. But then I realized, with these powers," August started pulling off his uniform. "I am judge, jury, and executioner." A white substance started forming a new cover over August's body. "So I call myself," a mask covered his face, and gold wings came off both sides. "GODSPEED!" He laughed and said, "Try to catch me flash." August took off, with Barry following behind. "Why kill the speedsters August?"
"Because they were wasting their powers. They could have been heroes like us."
"You're not a hero August."
"Why? Because you say so?" They both stopped. "How did you do it? You were with me during some of the crimes."
"You see Barry, I'm faster than you." Godspeed ran behind Barry and grabbed his shoulders. "So much faster that I can do the one thing you do desperately wish you could do." Godspeed started running, except, he wasn't. He was across the room, and still right next to Barry. "I can be in two places, at once."
