I started writing this chapter a little while after I published the last one, and then walked away from it. Now that godspeed is going to be introduced on the CW show, I figured that it was about time I finished it. So almost 2 years in the making, here it is...

"H-How?"

Augsust laughed. "What's wrong Barry? Can't Keep up?" August pushed Barry over, and looking down on him. "You've gotten used to being the fastest one around. How long has it been since there was a speedster faster than you?"

Barry lunged at him from the ground, but August easily sidestepped it. "Thawne? Zoom?" Barry tried again, same result. "Savitar? Seems like a pattern that you can't escape." Barry jumped up and ran towards August, but hit the wall instead. Godspeed ran at Barry, and started hitting him with speed punches. He wound up and then hit him with a finisher back to the ground.

"Catch me if you can." He said to him, and then took off. Barry followed him quickly. He chased after him, but couldn't find any trace at all. "Cisco? Bart? Anyone?"

"Yeah Barry I'm here." Bart's voice came through the coms. "August. It's him, he's Godspeed."

"Yeah right. He can't run halfway across a football field without tripping." Bart laughed. "He was faking it Bart. I don't know how I didn't see it. He was with us for months. Look I just need you to find him. Track any speeds moving faster than what I can go."

"I'm on it." Barry could hear the sound of a keyboard. "I've got nothing. Maybe he isn't running as fast cause he knew you'd think of that. I'll track anything faster than 1000 miles an hour." Barry started running again. "I think I've got him. I've got two signatures at the riverside. It looks like they're fighting Barry. Hurry!"

Barry ran across town, but was tackled to the ground by Godspeed. "Didn't see that one coming did you?" He laughed.
"Where is he!?" Barry yelled. "Where is who, Barry?"

"The other speedster! I can't let you hurt another innocent August."
"Oh him." He chuckled. "He's around. But you need not worry about that now."

Barry got up and attacked him. They fought back and forth, Godspeed landing the majority of the blows, but Barry still managed a few. Godspeed would hit Barry, then dodge any counter punches, before landing another powerful hit on Barry.

He was running around like crazy, attacking Barry, and dodging incoming punches. At some points Barry felt like there was someone else attacking him as well. And then he realized there was. There were two versions of Godspeed hitting him at once.

Then, in one final finishing move, both Godspeeds swung a power blow at Barry...
But he dodged them. All of a sudden, Godspeed wasn't faster than him. Barry took control of the fight, throwing shots at both of the white suited speedsters. He started running circles around them. They both knew what was coming, and tried to escape, but Barry kept them both in his lightning field.

Then, both Godspeeds started running in their own circle. Faster and faster, until there was a blinding flash of white light, and he was gone.

"I don't understand. One minute he's too fast for me to see, then he can only run as fast as I was when I first got my speed. And how can he be in two places at once? He can't be running faster than the speed of light. No one can."
"He's not." Barry turned around. "A while back I rigged the city's traffic cameras to track sonic level speeds." Barry stood behind Cisco, watching the screen. When he took off running he was cruising nearly twice as fast as you can run Barry, but then right here," he pointed at the screen as the icon that represented August split off into a second one. "His speed drops to less than half of what he was at. And at the same time another speedster, another Godspeed appeared."

"So he created a time remnant?" Cisco shook his head. "I thought that at first but it didn't make sense. First off, he wouldn't risk a run in with the time wraiths. With all the things he's done, killing speedsters, taking their speed, they would've gotten to him before you got to the dock. Also it wouldn't explain the loss of speed."

"So what happened then?" Barry asked. "It's a speed clone." Bart's voice came from behind them. Barry and Cisco turned to face him. "He's splitting his molecules to create a copy of himself. But he can only do it at the cost of his speed."

"How do you know that?" Cisco asked. "History books. But, he's not supposed to be able to do it this early on."

"Wait you knew? You knew who he was? Why the hell didn't you say anything?!" Barry shouted at him. "The timestream. It has to stay intact remember? Only, apparently it isn't." Barry sighed. "You're right. So we know how he's doing it. How do we stop him?" He looked to Bart. "We both go after him. Same time. Either he splits, and we can take him down, or he takes us on full speed. Now I'm not as fast as him, but I'm still faster than you. So I can probably have a bit more defense against him."

Barry nodded. "Okay, so we just wait for him to come out of hiding again. But even if you are faster, he still might have an upper hand."

"Yeah. I think we're gonna have to draw the time wraiths out like you did for Zolomon. It's risky, but no doubt the speed force wants him."

*Somewhere outside of central city.*
August stood in the field waiting. Suddenly the breach opened, and his 'mystery benefactor' so to speak, jumped out. "What happened?"

"I did exactly what you said, I toyed with Barry, but I no lasting damage."

"And the boy?" The man asked. "My guess is he knows how I split. If that's the case then the others know too. They'll be coming for me soon." Silence. "When do we act? If we're going to kill Barry then we need to do it soon, before the kid's memory catches up."

"They're going to call the wraiths out to find you. You need to make sure they can't time travel. Make sure there isn't enough speed to go around." He handed August multiple devices. "Damped their speed. Increase yours with this one. Tachyons. You're going to have to create more speedsters."

"How do I do that? The last storm happened from the imbalance of the speed force prison, and I don't see how I can cause another one!" He shouted. "Don't. You're smart... figure it out." He turned and ran back into another breach that opened. "What does that mean? Bruce tell me!"
