So I know I said that this was a different fanfic in a different book but I decided to transfer it into a series of one-shots for a few reasons.
First, I have a feeling that this will end up being a little short for a whole other book.
And second, I haven't been keeping up with the updates for this in a week. I'm so sorry 😟 but don't worry. I have more chapters coming for this series, The Return, and more individual one-shots including one titled; Sick Day. I hope the hint makes up for the wait!!!😅
In other news, I am so happy!!! This one-shot book now has more cries than the very first book I published on Wattpad!!!!!!! Thank you guys sooo much!!!!!!
And without further interference, I give you a one-shot. (Cation: it is over 5000 words. Read at your own risk!!!)

Percy
"Do you think it could be her?" Annabeth asked me, we were walking in the forest, heading to the beach.
"I don't know. I trust Chiron and you but two hundred years. That's pretty impossible unless you're a god." I answered, kicking a stone along the path. We held hands while walking. Her silver ring with the blue diamond felt cool against my skin from the cold air. I looked down at my other hand to make sure mine was still there. Even though we only got married this summer, the feeling of the ring had become unnoticeable as anything other than a part of me.
Annabeth stopped, still gripping my hand, stopping me mid stride. Before I could ask anything, she pulled me into a line of bushes and shoved me down so we were both crouching in the leaves. She pointed into a small clearing and I saw what had made her so cautious. The small clearing had chickens hanging from the trees around it.
As we watched a small green dragon stepped out and looked around. Seeming to sigh at the circle, it started to pick the chickens off the trees and place them into a pile in the middle of the clearing. It moved silently for such a big creature. Once it had placed all the chickens in the center, flames grew from its mouth. Heat singed my face as the bird bodies burned. Once it was ash, the dragon flattened the small pile of ash into the ground and drug it's claw across it, causing new grass to spring forth.
I adjusted my footing and snapped a twig. Annabeth glared at me as the dragon jumped once then spread its wings to rise into the air, disappearing before it reached the top of the trees.
"What was that?" I asked.
"I think that was Astraea. But I can't be sure until I see her closer, and human." Annabeth answered.
We walked back to camp, losing our will to spend the day at the beach. We were both uneasy and nervous. Who wouldn't be after Chiron's story details sounding a lot like the circle we had just stumbled upon.
Annabeth
Once we told Chiron what we had seen, he grew even more nervous and that frightened me. Since I arrived at camp I had only seen him nervous twice, both were right before we went into battle. I had a sickening feeling that this was for the same reason.
Percy insisted that I stayed in his cabin. He went so far as to use logic, saying that Chiron wants more than one person together at all times and he was alone in his cabin. I believe however that he's a little scared.
It was dark but I couldn't sleep. Percy on the other hand had been out since the moment his head met his pillow. I stood. A short time at Thalia's Tree couldn't hurt. As a precaution I took my dagger. This one was different from my old one. It was celestial bronze but instead of a leather handle like the one Luke gave me, it had a type of light stone that Percy refused to tell me what it was. The stone was sea green and was perfectly formed to my hand so it was comfortable. The blade had words carved into it that were filled with grey stone: Wise Girl. Percy had given it to me the Christmas after the giant war. "To replace the old one." He said. He was so scared that I wouldn't like it. Just the kind of thing I'd expect from my Seaweed Brain.
