Annabeth was finishing getting her bags from the check out counter and slipped out her phone to check that she had gotten everything on her list.
"Percy, is there anything else you can think of that we need to-" she trailed off, realizing that a certain Seaweed Brain was missing.
"Percy?" She sighed, unable to find him among the resisters. Annabeth placed her bags in her car in the parking lot then went back inside the store.
Before long, she was able to find a security guard. "Excuse me, I've lost someone." She began.
"Well I can help. How old is your child Miss?" The guard asked, he was very kind.
"He's 22." She answered.
"Well I'm sure he can handle hims-"
"No, you don't know him like I do, he can't do this sort of thing."
"Is he disabled?"
"No-well yes. In a way. I just need to find him before he, um, panics."
"Okay Miss, let's go look for him then." He said and walked off with her.
After about an hour of searching they found Percy in the toy aisle, sitting on a bean bag chair and playing Go Fish with two little kids whose mother was looking at toys an aisle over.
"Perseus Jackson!" She growled. Annabeth thanked the guard and he left. Percy shot up making the kids laugh at him while his face turned bright red.
"Annabeth! I-I was uh, just um-"
"It's fine Percy." Annabeth smiled. The regret and fear on his face was enough of an apology for her.
"Um, this is Maddie and Connor." He introduced the kids as Annabeth walked over, sat on the bean bag and added herself into the game. "Umm..."
"Well are you gonna go or not?" Annabeth asked him.
