I'm sorry that I haven't updated this book for a while. I recently graduated high school 🎓 so that's where most of my time and energy has been.
Lucia's POV
"Okay class, make sure you do the homework tonight. I'll see you guys tomorrow" Mrs. River shouts as the bell rings.
I pack up my health papers and place them into my binder.
"Ready for lunch" Ethan wraps his arm around me.
"Of course! I'm starving" I put on my backpack and walk to the lunch room with Ethan.

"Want to come over tonight" I ask Ethan as the last bell of the school day rings.
"Sorry love, I can't" he replies.
"That's fine. I'll see you tomorrow then" I kiss him goodbye.
"Remember, you're enough. You'll always be enough" he whispers in my ear as we pull away from the kiss.
My heart melts.

"Mom needs us to go get a new bed sheet for her" Summer barges into my room.
"Let's go to Target then. I just finished my homework" I close my textbook.
I grab my keys and phone.
Summer plays some music through the aux cord.
"Did you know that shrimp and prawn are crustaceans" Summer speaks randomly.
"Why are you telling me this for" I lightly laugh.
"I just learned that today" she smiles.
"Wow, you're so smart" I laugh.
I park the car, and we get out. I command Summer to go grab a cart, so we can put the new bed sheet in.
"What color does she want" I ask her.
"I think she said beige" Summer walks towards the bedding area.
We search for bedsheets all over the bedding area, but we couldn't find any.
"Go ask that worker" Summer points to a male worker whose back is turned against us.
"Excuse me sir" I lightly tap on his shoulder.
"How may I hel-" he turns around.
"Ethan!?" Me and Summer say in unison.
"Oh, hey babe" he cheekily smiles.
"When did you start working here" I ask him surprised.
"Today actually" he says embarrassed.
"Is this why you didn't come over today? How come you didn't tell me" I ask confused.
"I don't know" he shrugs.
"Well, we need help looking for a beige bed sheet" I change the subject because I can tell he's feeling a little bit uncomfortable.
"It's right here babe" he chuckles.
He hands me a package with a beige bed sheet. I examine the item before putting it in my cart.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Ethan" I kiss his check and hug him.
"Bye babe. I love you" he says to me as I turn around and walk away.

I change into my pjs after brushing my teeth and lay in my bed. I let my thoughts consume my mind like I always do.
Why didn't Ethan tell me about his new job?
Why is he embarrassed for?
Why did he get a job for?
What made him decide to get a job?
I don't want to ask him because I don't want to make him feel ashamed or anything. Having a job is not something to be ashamed for. Why did he act like he was?
I shake off Ethan from my mind, so I can finally go to sleep. I don't want my mind to keep me awake, but Ethan always consumes my mind at night.
I always wonder how did I get so lucky to have him. He can have any girl he wants, but he sticks with me.
Why?
I love Ethan, and I don't ever doubt his love for me. I'm just curious as to how I got so lucky that's all. I'm grateful to have Ethan in my life.
He saved me but sometimes I doubt if he'll stay.
