Lucia's POV
I run into my room out of breath.
Damn, I need to workout more.
I get in the shower and wash myself clean.

I lay in bed. The sun is starting to set. No one is home yet. I get up and sit on the balcony attached to my bedroom. It's calm and peaceful.
I'm enjoying the view when I hear people talking amongst themselves. I look down and see everyone coming back home from the beach.
I immediately run back inside and jump in bed.
Knock knock
I hesitate to get up for a minute. I open the door to be greeted by Summer and Rick.
"I'm confused on what's going on" Rick speaks up.
We all sit down on my bed together.
"Yeah, we're confused. What's going on with you and Ethan" Summer asks.
I don't know what to say. I don't even know what's going on between us either.
"It's nothing" I shrug.
"Yeah because a guy shouting "I love you" to someone is "nothing". Okayyy" Summer rolls her eyes.
I sit there silently.
"Are you guys together" Rick asks.
"No" I answer immediately.
"Well it sure as hell doesn't seem that way" he mutters.
"I like Ethan; he's a good guy. What's holding you back? Because I can tell he's all for you" Summer adds.
"I don't know" I shrug.
"Are you scared" she asks.
I get taken back by her question. Rick and Summer stare at me intently.
"Yeah, you're scared. If you have to think about my question that long then your answer is yes" Summer speaks softly.
"You guys are my little sisters. I love you both, and I would never want you guys to date a boy. But I have to admit, I'm all for you and Ethan" Rick chuckles.
Me and Summer exchange the wtf look to each other.
"Ahah, WOW. Rick would finally let one of us date?" I say with sarcasm.
"Only if I approve of the guy, and I approve of Ethan" he smiles.
"You're so lame Rick" Summer lightly punches his arm.
"Well, go get ready. We're going out for dinner in ten minutes" Summer says before grabbing Rick and leaving my room.

I change into one of my many maxi dresses I packed and put my hair in a high pony tail. I grab my sandals, and I take a deep breath before opening my door.
I walk to the living room, and I'm greeted by everyone. Ethan lightly smiles as me, and I do the same.
Rick breaks the silence by calling shotgun and runs to the front door.
We soon follow him and pile in the car.

We make it to a nice restaurant that is on the ocean. Before we enter the restaurant, I hear Summer whispering something to everyone but me and Ethan.
I just shrug it off.
We go inside the restaurant, and our waiter is leading us to our table. Summer and the group rush behind our waiter Max, and they all quickly sit down.
I notice that there's only two seats left that are right next to each other, and Ethan and I are left remaining.
Them bitches set this up.
Ethan and I take a seat next to each other. I glare at Summer for setting this up. They didn't have to make it THIS obviously running to the damn table.
"Hey, can we talk after dinner" Ethan whispers in my ear.
I nod in agreement, and we order our food.

We all walk up the stairs to the house. Summer unlocks the door for everyone, but I feel my arm being pulled.
Ethan leads us to the bench on the front porch.
Oh yeah. I forgot he wanted to talk.
"What are you scared of Lucia" he holds my hands.
"I don't know what I'm scared of. I'm just scared" I whisper.
"Please be mine. Open up your heart to me, Lucia" he inches closer to me.
"But what if I do and I end up broken" I ask.
"But what if you do but you end up whole again" he responds.
"Just promise me that if I do open my heart up to you that you won't run away" I look up at him.
"My heart is dark and cold. It's a scary place" I add.
"I'm not running away. I'll always be here. So will you be mine" he smiles his pearly white teeth.
"Yes" I kiss his cheek.
