Lucia's POV
It's early in the morning, and I decide that I'm going to go swimming since I didn't go yesterday.
I get up from my crusty bed and grab my bikini from my suit case. I put on my bikini and stare at myself in the mirror.
I don't know why my mom bothers me about my weight. I'm not skinny nor huge. I'm thick.
My mom just wants me to be like Summer. Summer is a stick.
I grope my thighs and see my cellulite. I touch my stomach and pinch my fat near my bellybutton. I put my arms out and shake it and see my arm fat jiggle.
I guess I can see what my mom's talking about.
---
I place my towel on the sand and walk up to the water. The sun is shinning and there's a slight breeze.
I sit down near the water and let the waves splash on me. The water is warm and soothing. There's no one else here at the beach right now. I guess it's because it's early in the morning right now.
I lay down and enjoy the sun beaming down on me. The waves are trickling on my skin. I'm laying down hoping I'll get a tan, but I feel the sun being blocked from me. I shoot open my eyes and see Ethan hovering over me.
"You're blocking the sun" I sit up.
He just stands there staring at me.
Is he checking me out?
"Helloooo?" I wave my hands.
"Sorry, I got distracted" he zaps out of it.
I get up and go sit on my towel. I look through my bag and find my cigarettes and lighter I brought. I pull out a cigarette and light it up. I inhale a deep breath and close my eyes. I feel my body relax until someone snatches the cigarette out of my mouth.
"Hey!" I yell.
"Why do you even smoke for" he throws the cigarette in the ocean.
"Why do you breathe air for?" I huff.
I get up and gather my things with Ethan staring at me.
"I'm just trying to help you get out of this bad habit" he says sincerely.
"Well I don't need you to do that for me because I'm not going to stop smoking" I start walking to the hotel.
Who the h.ell does he think he is?
---
I shower and get ready for the day. I don't know what we're going to do, but I hope I will be able to enjoy today.
I go to the lobby where I'm meeting everyone at.
"You're looking tan" Summer smiles at me.
I just nod.
"So since today is Summer's actual birthday, we're doing whatever she wants" my mom cheers.
"I want to go to a dolphin show, shopping, and then dinner" Summer answers.
"Then that's what we'll all do" my mom claps her hands.
---
The dolphin show was the most boring thing ever. All the dolphins did was eat fish. There were no cool tricks.
"That was the best show ever" Ally and Sam say.
I just roll my eyes.
We walk to the mall across the street and begin shopping. I most likely won't get anything.
