Lucia's POV
I stomp to my room and find Rick and Summer in there waiting for me.
"You know we love you Lucia, right" Summer breathes.
"I know you guys love me" I walk up to hug them.
"You'll always be our sister. Full blood or not. It doesn't matter" Rick whispers.
"Thank you" I cry into their arms.
"We'll always be here for you, LuLu. Get some rest" Summer calls me by nickname.
We exchange one more hug before they leave my room.

I wake up and walk into my bathroom. I examine myself. My eyes are red and puffy. My nose is runny. My hair looks like a bird's nest. Last night I just cried myself to bed.
Before I can even brush my teeth, Ethan appears in the mirror.
"Fuckin hell" I curse with my hand over my heart.
"Sorry if I scared you" Ethan turns me around.
"I look ill. Go lay on my bed" I rub my eyes.
He obeys my orders and walks to my bed. I comb my hair and brush my teeth. I decided to take a quick shower as well.

I walk back to my room to grab some clothes, and I speed walk back to the bathroom to change.
Once I finish, I finally go back to my room and check on Ethan. He's peacefully sleeping.
Should I wake him up or should I join him?
I lay down next to him with my head on his chest. I love his soothing heartbeat. He lifts his hand and strokes my hair.
"Sorry if I woke you up" I get off of him.
"Not at all. Come back here" he pulls me back to his chest.
He continues to stroke my hair while I listen to his heartbeat.
"What happened last night" he asks.
I explain to him what happened with my "parents", Aunt May, and Uncle Frank.
"Your Aunt May seems sincerely upset, and it looks like she truly cares about you still. Would you ever want to build a relationship with her" Ethan asks.
"No. I'm done with all of them. I have no mother, and I have no father. They're all dead to me" I say coldly.
"I understand. I hope you'll at least get the courage to forgive them one day" was the last thing he said before we fell asleep.

"Wake up, someone's knocking on the door" Ethan shakes me.
I rush him to my closet before I open the door.
"Family meeting" Rick tells me.
I'm about to shut the door when Rick stops it with his feet.
"Why does your room smell like a boys cologne" he raises an eyebrow.
"What are you talking about? I think you're just smelling yourself because your cologne is really strong right now" I lie.
"You're probably right. Well, go downstairs now" he says before leaving.
I close the door and lock it.
"I'll see you tomorrow at school. Remember, you're enough. You will always be enough" Ethan hugs me before jumping out of the window.
I put on some sweatpants due to the cold fall weather. It's now near the end of October.
I run down the stairs and see everyone already sitting down. My Aunt May and Uncle Frank are still here.
"I called this family meeting because I wanted to announce something" Summer speaks.
What the hell? She called this family meeting?
"I've decided that I want to use my private jet this upcoming weekend, but I want this trip to be just for us kids" Summer starts.
"So Lucia and Rick, you guys can bring whoever you want as long as we all can fit in the jet" she looks at us.
"Of course you can use your private jet to go anywhere you want Summer" my mom smiles.
Two-faced bitch. I hate her.
"We'll be going to the Virgin Islands for the warmer weather. Well that's all. We leave this Friday. Lucia and Rick, don't forget to invite your friends" Summer says before dismissing us.
I squeal internally as I walk up to my room. I've always wanted to go to the Virgin Islands! I'll bring Mya as my plus one.
I'm about to close the door to my room when Summer stops me.
"I know how much you really wanted to go to the Virgin Island, so I thought why not. You deserve this trip" she smiles at me and walks to her room.
She did this for me?
I'd never thought Summer would ever do something like this for me. She always thinks about herself and for once she thought of someone else.
Me.
Someone in this family has actually sincerely thought about me.
