"Fine. I promise I will fight to the death, to be with you, I refuse to marry B-Evangeline. Sorry Eva, I know you probably don't care but, I'm breaking up with you. Now, Em, stop acting like this. You're being all vicious" Jake sighed.

As much as I wanted to punch Jake in the gut for everything, even if it wasn't his fault, I knew he was right. Plus we're probably just creating a crowd of people right now. Now that he's given in I also feel bad; I've just turned this into a war...

"It's cool. I love Nathan" Eva brushed off.

"What's wrong with me?" I asked quietly. Emotions clouded my face as I realised what I had done to Jake. I didn't mean to hurt him that bad. I didn't think I could either.

"I don't know" Jake replied honestly. Looking Jake in the eye, I watched him loosen his grip on me so I stepped to the side. Whatever happened wasn't human. It wasn't me. Or was it?

Max jogged up to me and tugged at my hand. Jake let out a low rumble of protection and Max gave him a death glare. Going along with Max, I looked back once more at Jake's glowing eyes then found myself sat at a table by Becca.

Everyone who wasn't supernatural looked really shocked; they'd heard the whole gossip. About me, you know...hurting Jake. Oh and the dramatic 'break up'.

"Em. Cole bit me" Kellie came up beside me.

"HE MARKED YOU." I glared.

"Urm...I think so..." Kellie mumbled and revealed a neat bite mark on her neck.

Well. I guess I've been bitten too. I'm just over protective sometimes.

"Ugh. I just can't wait to find out if we're werewolves or not in a month on our birthday" I groaned.

"You haven't got me a present" Max huffed "Or cake".

"I'll get you a present later" I snapped "I've been busy lately. Plus I still have the science project to do with Jake and Becca"

"But I wanna go shopping later." Becca butted in.

"Tough luck. We're FINISHING it today. My mind is just exploding right now, okay?" Sighing I slumped in my chair with a frown on my face.

"Do you reckon she's in heat?" Becca asked Max.

"Nah, she'd have to have already shifted into a wolf. Plus she's probably just a boring human. Heat only effects wolves and she's not one...yet" Max replied casually.

"What's heat?" I questioned.

"It's when you delay the mating process for too long. The female goes into heat which makes them get extra attracted to their mate and they give off a pleasuring aroma. It draws the wolves together in order to mate after you've been marked. The Moon Goddess cursed it upon us so that all wolves would mate with each other, it's irresistible" Becca explained.

"Well. I'm not in heat then" I concluded.

"Hmm" Max hummed "wanna go to the movies later, Becca?"

"Dude!" I yelled "I told you I need her!"

"But she's mine." Max stated stubbornly.

"Not today she's not." I announced.

"Not fair." Max kept up the stubborn act.

"Life isn't fair." I gave him a death glare.

"What's up with you and your mood swings these days" Max huffed. I just poked my tongue out at him. It's all he deserves.

"If I did know I would be happy." I rolled my eyes.

"Look, Max, we can go to the movies another day, yeah?" Becca soothed and grinned devilishly at me. I felt like I was in control. It also felt like Becca had slowly been drifting away from me lately with all that's been going on. To be honest, I was completely jealous of Becca and Max, their life was so easy; love and cherish each other till death do they part. Sigh. It's much different between me and Jake; we're in love but we can't be together like that unless we want to kill each other.
