Mine

12 - First Date

Blinking my eyes open, I awoke from my dreamless, very peaceful night. I blinked in the sun that creeped stealthily through the curtains and rested on the floor. This room was different. It didn't look like mine. It was darker and had a bathroom. I felt warm arms around my waist. Who's in my bed? Jake. Oh. This is his room. I began to remember yesterday, Mum saying I had to sleep round because she wouldn't be back till 4am.

"Go back to sleep" I heard Jake groan.

"I can't. I need the loo" I replied. Jake sighed and slowly loosened his hold on me. I scrambled out of the bed and shot into his bathroom.

By the time I got out (I brushed my teeth too), Jake was already dressed, I have to say I was a little disappointed I wouldn't be seeing his body though. That thought made me blush a little.

"Come with me, you'll need some clothes for ice skating" Jake stretched out his hand for me to grab.

"We're ditching school?" I frowned, taking his hand in mine.

"Yes. See it as your first and best date" Jake gave me a crooked smile and led me out the door.

I feel bad for June; I keep stealing all her clothes, it's lucky she's rich I guess.

Jake tapped lightly on the door of June's room. She opened it and smiled at me. I returned the smile and she pulled me inside her room, pushing Jake away then shutting the door behind her. She clapped happily and began throwing clothes at me.

"Jake could always drop me home so I could pick up some clothes..." I trailed off as she frowned.

"No. I don't care what you say, you're already like my little sister. Yeah that's right, I'm the older sibling" She laughed "Just take my clothes"

"Thanks" I smiled.

"I guess I'm just happy Jake's found his mate. He talks about you in his sleep a lot. He really does love you" June sighed.

"I love him too" I replied with a grin "have you found your mate?"

"Psh yeah" June chuckled "pain in the bum he is"

I picked up some dark jeans and a red and blue checkered top. Meanwhile, June was busy finding me some brown boots; she knew I loved them already!

"Bye now!" June pushed me back out the door once I was dressed.

Jake seemed busy chatting to a bunch of cheerleaders from our school. So I guess there are a lot of werewolves huh. I tapped his shoulder and he turned round.

"Who's she?" A blonde sneered.

"She's my girlfriend." Jake said casually.

"But I slept with you last night!" She gave me a devil grin, trying to make me leave.

"Sure you did" Jake chuckled, knowing I was right beside him last night.

"Yes you did!" She clapped.

"Yeah so did I" Another hissed. The blonde scowled and slapped her. I rolled my eyes and Jake and I marched off.

"It seems Cole and Kellie have decided to join us" Jake kissed my cheek as we strolled up to them.

"Hey! Emmy!" Kellie grinned "I'm really sorry about dinner, I didn't know they wouldn't mention you"

"It's okay, I don't mind" I brushed off. I did mind in truth though.

"I invited Becca and Max! They're going to meet us at the ice rink" Kellie grinned and Cole hugged her into his body. Okay. Now I'm jealous of two couples! Even more frustrating, they're both coming on mine and Jake's first date!
