Max, I'm gonna kill you.

I had just woken up, 2am in the morning, just because Max felt the urge to text 'hi'. I grumbled and heard my mobile begin to ring. Ugh, what now? Slowly, I hauled myself off the bed and onto the floor. Groaning with tiredness, I crawled over to my mobile which had been thrown carelessly across the room. Pressing the answer button I answered groggily into my phone.

"Hello?"

"Heyyy" Max yelled from the other end of the line.

I cringed, my ears may bleed from his shouts.

"What!" I replied harshly.

Well, he of all people should know I'm not a morning person and I love my sleep.

Without saying another word, Max hung up. What the heck was that?! I growled to myself and shivered. I didn't realise how cold it was. I peered out my window. The frost was biting the trees and the air seemed relaxed. Quickly, my eyes hooked with green ones. The same green eyes I spotted in the beach woods the other day. Suddenly, a pair of brown eyes appeared. Freaking out slightly, I sunk below the window sill, hoping they'd stop staring. I almost felt disturbed with the brown eyes but got no bad emotion from the familiar green eyes.

The moonlight poured into my room and I heard a comforting howl. I watched intently as the light beams danced creating a show on my bedroom floor. Calming my mood, I listened in on the wind and the sounds of nature. Fortunately, just as I decided to look back out the window, I found no brown eyes. Just green ones. My breath hitched as it seemed to be getting closer. Although, I wasn't scared, I felt safer the nearer it got. Until I saw its jet black paw and midnight ears. A wolf. Bigger than a wolf though, defiantly male too. You could tell by the strong build and threatening stance. It didn't look hungry for my blood or anything though, it just looked...curious.

I tilted my head, suddenly quite serious. What was this dark beauty doing outside in the woods? Licking its fur, it began to stop staring and casually lick itself. Clearly not a threat, I pulled on a jumper and slippers before creeping out my door, not bothering to close it in case it made a sound. I didn't know what I was doing, only that I was doing it. I felt like part of me needed to see the wolf closer. It's not everyday you find a wolf in your back garden. Glued in my mind, those frustrating emerald eyes. Tip-toeing, I snuck along the hall, making no sudden movements. The last thing I needed was my Mum or sister waking up and ranting at me. Also I don't think they'd be too psyched to find out how I was journeying to meet a wolf.

Quickening my pace as I reached the stairs, I hopped on until I came to the red kitchen door. Turning the handle, I pushed aside the door, opening it to the kitchen. My favourite place. Being more precise, the fridge. Yeah, I have a boyfriend...my fridge. I heard a small howl outside, the wolf. That's right, I came to see the wolf. Now having reached the backdoor. My breath grew faster, what if it was tricking me? It felt like I could trust it though. Maybe mind tricks are involved. Bravery pulsed through my veins. Get a grip Lou (yea, I don't call myself Emmy or Emmy-Lou). Just push open the door. I pushed the door wide open. There, sat in the mist, was the green-eyed wolf.

Seeing me, it stopped washing itself and lay out in the grass, it didn't seem too bothered about me. Not daring to go forward, I perched on the doorstep. Our eyes were merged, like a stare down, neither one of us stopped analysing the other. His long tongue lolled out of his mouth, he smiled a wolfy grin. Not knowing how he did that, I furrowed my eyebrows, there's definitely something else about this animal. Really feeling the urge to touch him now, I stood up. Shaking slightly, my breath quivered. My foot took one step forward; I began to approach the big, bad wolf.

Remember little red riding hood Lou? Remember how the wolf tried to eat her? There's no one out here to save you. Ahh, shush conscience. Taking yet another step forward, the wolf rose up on all fours. I flinched back. I didn't want to become an evening snack. It saw my sudden move and laid back down. He was almost saying 'Don't be afraid'. Taking two steps forward this time, I seemed more confident. Each step I took towards the midnight black fur and mystery green eyes, I felt much safer. Just like back in my room when the wolf came closer to me.
