"This is all my fault!" Jason chided himself. "If maybe I signed you up as sub captain for the skill group, we would have been able to avoid all this."
"No it's mine" Samantha said. "I should have listened to E and stayed. It was going okay until my wrong decision."
"Guys..." Evangeline called but they continued to fight among themselves, fighting over who was to blame. "GUYS!" Evangeline yelled and they kept quiet. "None of you are at fault here. Okay? Whatever happened, happened. We can't change it."
Evangeline sat on her bed with Sam by her side and Jason and Sasha sitting on the couch.
"I'm sorry I didn't sign you up as captain for Skill group. It's all you ever wanted." Jason apologized.
"Well it's good you didn't or either I would be stuck with Jake." Evangeline fake laughed. "I thought he liked me. I really did."
"Oh E, I should have told you." Sasha stood up and hugged her.
"It's okay." Evangeline said. "It's not like I have a broken heart now. It just hurts a bit knowing I was nearly played."
They were silent for a while till Evangeline spoke, "So I'm the only official one in all of us who never had a serious relationship in high school. Wow."
"You excluded me when you said that, didn't you? " Jason asked.
"Well, you always have college right? A second chance?" Samantha said, ignoring Jason. "And maybe this time, you could actually meet your soul mate?" Sasha added.
"Yeah yeah okay." Evangeline half-heartedly agreed.
"I can't believe I survived High school." Jason scoffed. "I was so sure it would be horrible after my humiliation in middle school."
"Nobody even remembers that." Samantha said as Sasha and Evangeline blasted into laughter. "At least I don't" She added.
"Minus the mean girls and annoying guys, high school was pretty good. Especially with you guys by my side." Sasha said, and Evangeline frowned.
"I just thought I would have that perfect high school love story. The bad boy - good girl type. Like Rom-Coms. But nothing happened." Evangeline said.
"Well those are movies and books, and This is life." Samantha said. "I didn't think I would make it till graduation but here I am."
"This trip wasn't all bad. We ended up making a couple of good memories too." Sasha said.
"Yep. I must say I'm quite honored to have witnessed the scene of E trying to flirt with Alex" Jason said and they all started laughing.
"Okayy now, back then I didn't know he was a jerk. I just thought he was cute and tried doing something different for the first time." Evangeline protested.
"Yeah and failed miserably." Sasha added while laughing. "You still think he's cute?" Sasha raised her eyebrows playfully.
