Ezra's POV

Me and Sabine had gotten orders to watch the construction of a new walker. We stood in the command deck giving orders getting/giving reports.

"Out of all the jobs we could have it just had to this one." Sabine groaned.

"Could be worse." I said reassuringly. Then out of no where there was an explosion. We flinched and ran down to the main hanger. I ignited my saber and saw everyone. Then I saw what happened. Grand Admiral Thrawn had arrived.

"Ahh Master Bridger and Admiral Wren." He greeted in his calm tone that sent shivers down Sabine's spine.

"Grand Admiral Thrawn, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was sent relieve you from duty. Please enjoy your day off." He excused us. We walked off I sensed Sabine's fury.

"This is ridiculous." Sabine hissed. I put an arm around her and pulled her close.

"Well you didn't want to do the job." I pointed out. Before she could respond we heard the crying of an infant.

"It's coming from that alley." Sabine said then walked into the alley.

"Is this really the best idea?" I asked. We looked in the dumpster to find a baby twi-lek. It looked like a girl, she had puffy eyes and trash all over her. Sabine picked her up in her arms.

"Look at how cute she is." Sabine cooed. "Ez, can we keep her she's abandoned. I can't have a baby because of work what if we take this one in." Sabine begged.

"We can watch her for a few weeks." I agreed. "What do you want to name her?" I asked.

"Umm... oh! Astrid." Sabine glowed. I sighed as she started to rock the baby back and forth in her arms.

"I will go get the baby supplies, you take her back to our apartment." I told Sabine.

"Okay but hurry." She told me as she walked back to our house. I went to the baby store and got the soap, food, diapers, wet wipes, clothes, special bath towel and socks. Then I got the crib, stroller, high chair, play pen, toy mat and a thing that would tell us when the baby was crying. I was on my way home in a speeder of stuff. I got everything inside thanks to the force.

"I'm back." I said. But, when I looked at the coach I saw Sabine asleep with the Astrid. I took the crib to our room and started to put it together. After about an hour I got it together, then I went to the living room area and found both girls awake. Sabine had the most pleased look on her face as she held Astrid.

"How was town?" Sabine asked.

"Good. You might want to put Astrid in the tub. Who knows how long she has been in the dumpster." I suggested.

"Okay, did you put the soap in the bathroom?" Sabine asked while taking Astrid to the bathroom sink.

"Yeah. I'm gonna start dinner." I told her.

"Okay." She responded. I put two raw steaks on a pan then seasoned them. I popped them in the oven, I started the corn and potatoes. I started to make plates. I made a bottle and open some baby food for Astrid. I set everything down as the girls walk in. We started to eat ,but, I felt a pair of eyes on me. I looked at Astrid to see her staring at me.

"What are you looking at?" I asked know she wasn't gonna respond. She did let a little squeal while smiling. She let a some more light gooing. Sabine was loving this twi'lek girl. After dinner we sat on the couch watching TV. I heard gentle snores and when I looked at Sabine, both her and Astrid were asleep. I grabbed Astrid out of Sabine's arms and sat her In her crib. Then I picked up Sabine and brought her to bed. "Night girls." I said then fell asleep.
