Ezra's POV
That night me and Sabine were getting ready for bed when I asked about Thrawn."How did he find out?" I asked aghast.
"I don't know but, he wants Astrid to attend an Imperial Academy once she turns thirteen." Sabine said with sadness.
"No she can't!" I told my wife sternly.
"Ezra, we have a lot of time between now and then. We will figure something out. I promise." She soothed.
"I thought we would have tones of time with her." I admit to her.
"We will fix this, I promise."
Big Time Skip To When Astrid Is 12
Astrid's POVI was getting dressed for school in my bed room early morning. I wore jean shorts, tennis shoes and a long sleeve shirt.
"Astrid! Hurry up! You breakfast is getting cold!" I heard my dad hoard.
"Coming Dad!" I called back while grabbing my bag.
"It's about time, I thought that your friends would have graduated by the time you were dressed." Dad teased. I really only had one friend, Zac, but my parents didn't know that.
"Sure you did." I scoffed jokingly. I sat down and ate my space waffles and blue milk. "Where's Mom?" I asked.
"In our room getting ready for work." Dad informed. I nodded while I washed my plate, fork, and cup. My leku felt tingly before I realized that Dad was using the force to tickle my leku. I burst into a fit of laughter, I ended crying from laughing too hard and laying on the floor.
"Ezra, leave the poor girl alone." I heard Mom chuckle. Dad stopped and I just laid on the floor panting heavily.
"Do you want in on the fun, Hun?" Dad asked. I used the kitchen island to get up.
"No...she...doesn't." I pant. Causing both adults to giggle.
"Don't worry, Astrid. I'm more mature than your Father. I have to get you to school, lets go." Mom insisted. I nodded and grabbed my bag then kissed dad quickly on the cheek.
"Bye Dad!" I say as we leave.
"Bye!" I hear Dad say.
The car ride with Mom was peaceful and comfortable.
"You excited for your 13th birthday next week." Mom asked.
"Yeah, Zac has been talking about it non stop." I said perky.
"Do you like Zac?" Mom asked outta the blue.
"WHAT? No!" I stated causing her to laugh. Okay, I did but I'm not telling my mother that. Or him for that matter.
"Sure, I did the same thing at your age." She pushed as we arrived at the school. Zac was waiting by a fire hydrant for me like normal.
"Bye Mum, love ya!" I said as I left the speeder.
Zac walked to meet me as Mom left.
"Hey Zac!" I greeted, happily.
"Hi Astrid!" Zac greeted back. We walk to our lockers and pulled out our books.
"Is there anything other than the average school day going on?" I asked. I never read the school paper or the bulletin but Zac keeps me updated.
"Yeah, Grand Admril Thrawn is going to be following our class around to look for kids he wants in the academy." Zac told me.
"Really?!" I ask.
"Yeah..." He trailed off. We would end up as future troopers!
This is the last update for a little bit but I just wanted to reassure you guys that I was gonna continue my books. Thank you all for the support and patience, I love you all!
