   Astrid is 2 and a half

Ezra's POV

Well, I was feeling pretty good about myself today. Sabine has always been over protective of Astrid, because Astrid was "her baby". I was being trusted today while Sabine went to train some cadets, to babysit Astrid. Sabine had a list of things I need to know, a lot of them were things I already knew. I glanced over at her as she finished getting dressed. She must have felt a pair of eyes on her, because she turned around and looked at me suspiciously.

"You do realize I know most of this stuff, right babe?" I asked.

"Well..." Sabine started as she sat down on my lap in a position that she was facing me. " I simply want to make sure you don't forget anything." She said kissing my nose. I smirked lightly then, pushed her on the bed and pinned her down underneath me. She smirked and put her arms around my neck. I leaned down by her neck and kissed it before going up to her ear.

"I have to babysit, but I love you." I whispered and left.

  I walked into Astrid's room and saw her playing with a few plushes.  She looked up at me then ran and hugged my leg.

"Hi!" Astrid smiled. I smiled and her then put her on my shoulders. She squeaked in surprise and held on to me.

"Mom has to go do some work so I get to watch you." I told her.

"Yay!" She cheered. I saw Sabine walking over to us as we entered the living room.

"Bye Astrid, I will be back soon. Bye Ezra." Sabine said and kissed me on the lips.

"Eek dat's gwoss." Astrid squeaked.

"That's how mommy and daddy show our love for each other." Sabine laughed.

"It still gwoss." Astrid huffed.

"Be good for dad." Sabine said then left.

~~~time skip~~~
How did I loose her?!?! Sabine was gonna be back soon and Astrid is gone. I went to the refresher for one minute and Astrid has run off. I looked in me and Sabine's room. She wasn't there. Living room. Nope. Her room. Nothing. The second bathroom. No little twi-lek girl in sight.
"Astrid! Come on! Where are you?!" I called. I went to the kitchen and started to look around for her. I checked all of the lower cabinets, pantry, fridge, dish washer, oven and upper cabinets. No Astrid in sight. Sabine was gonna kill me. "Astrid this isn't funny!" I called. The patio! I ran to the patio and Astrid ran inside and to her room. I chased after her and saw her laying in bed.
"Dood Morwing dad!" She laughed.
"Astrid don't run off like that. You could get hurt." I scolded.
"Otay I sowy." Astrid said. Just than we heard the door open.
"I'm home!" Sabine called.
"Don't tell her what happened." I told Astrid. She nodded and ran to Sabine.
