Sabine's POV

I woke up to the sound of crying which made me quickly move to Astrid's crib. She smiled once she saw me and lifted her arms to reach for me. I picked her up and she giggled.

"You are just the happiest little girl! Aren't you'" I cooed. I knew Ezra needed to wake up so I would wake him with a smile. "Go say hi to dada." I said than set her down and let re crawl onto Ezra.

"Sabine." Ezra groaned.

"Astrid wants you to wake up." I chuckled as Astrid crawled around Ezra happily.

"But, Ezra doesn't want Ezra up." He responded.

"We have quite a bit to did today." I said while grabbing Astrid.

"Please." Ezra begged.

"Fine." I said then crawled in bed. Ezra had an arm around me as we just laid there. Astrid sat between us fiddling with her hands.

"What are we doing when we get up?" Ezra asked.

"Well, we need to take Astrid to the hospital to make sure she's healthy, gets some more food and I have to stop by work to get papers." I said. Astrid crawled on Ezra's chest and clapped her hands. There was a knock on the door that made me and Ezra flinch.

"I'll get it." Ezra said. I moved Astrid, Ezra slipped on a shirt then went to the door. Astrid started to cry a little once Ezra left the room.

"It's okay." I soothed. I went to the kitchen with Astrid to make breakfast. I gave Astrid a bottle and while she slurped it down I got me and Ezra's eggo waffles ready.

Time skip to at the hospital

I was pacing in the waiting room and Ezra was Impatiently tapping his foot. The nurse walked in which made me and Ezra jump to our feet.

"Are you two the parents?" The nurse asked.

"Not biologically. We found her the other day in a dumpster." Ezra explained.

"Well there is good and bad news. The good news is we found her parents and she is perfectly okay. The bad news how ever is her parents are drug addicts meaning if she returns to them she will probably be abused and left to fend for herself." The nurse explains.

"Can we see her?" I asked almost begging.

"Of course, I understand this is a lot to take in. I will let you two talk about what you want to do." The nurse said. We walked into the room Astrid was in she looked like she had been sobbing.

"Astrid, look who's back." I said. Her face lit up when she saw us, she reached for us while squealing. I picked her up and balanced her on my hip.

"What are we going to do?" Ezra asked.

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"She can't live with drug addicts or be left to fend for herself. She didn't do anything wrong, so she doesn't deserve a life like that." Ezra said.

"We could adopt her." I said. Ezra was quiet for a moment the smile at Astrid, who kicked her legs to show she approved of the attention.

"Okay, let's do it." Ezra smiled.

"Really?!" I gasped.

"Yup." He said.

"Have you decided what you are going to do with the child?" The nurse asked.

"We would like to adopt her." I said.

"That's fantastic! I will go get the papers you need to fill out." The nurse said then left.

"I always wanted a daughter." Ezra said.

"We finally have a family." I smiled.
