Trouble

Ezra's POV

I was sitting in me and Sabine's room. She was locking the front door before yelling at me. Sabine walked in making me scared.

"Ezra." Sabine said.

"Yes?" I asked innocently.

"You know what could have happened if she wounded her lekku worse, it could have done serious damage to her." Sabine scolded.

"I know. I really am sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I just wanted her to have some fun." I defended myself.

"I know Ezra. But you could have gotten her hurt. If this is the stuff that goes on when I'm gone, what has already happened?" She said.

"Nothing, this was the first time I messed up." I said.

"I don't want her getting hurt anymore." She said firmly.

"Sabine she's a kid. She's gonna make mistakes, get hurt and get on our nerves. But that's just what she does." I comforted.

"Fine. But, I will have a list of chores for you to do tomorrow." She said then laid down on her side of the bed and went to sleep. I laid down and went to sleep too.

     Sabine just left the house and I had a list of chores to do. But, I had Astrid to keep me company. I got the mower and started to mow the lawn. Astrid would try to run in front of the mower and I would have to put her on the porch again. I finally finished the lawn and did the back one. I got that done. I walked inside the house and looked at the list.

1. Mow the lawn
2. Weed the flower bed
3. Clean the front porch
4. See what fits Astrid and what doesn't
5. Clean out the fridge

          Okay babe, this is what needs to be done. Love you

I started to pick the weeds, while Astrid colored with chalk. I picked weeds for about an hour before I was finished.

"Dad! Look!" Astrid shouted in delight. I looked at her and saw her looking at a loth-cat kitten, they were maybe two feet from each other.

"Do you know what that is?" I asked walking over to her and kneeing down beside her. She sat cross legged looking at the small kitten.

"A loth-kitty!" She cheered. I used the force to connect with the cat and made it come closer to Astrid. She smiled brightly and pet the animal.

"I'm gonna sweep the porch then we are gonna head inside." I told her. She nodded and continued to play with the loth-cat.

              ~~~time skip~~~

    I had finished the chores and was giving Astrid a bath. I had to put a plastic bag over her cast so it wouldn't get wet.

"Dad, can I have bubbles?" Astrid asked.

"Why not." I said and grabbed the bubble bath. I turned on the water and poured a little bubble bath in the tub.

"Dad?" Astrid asked smiling at her feet.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"Can I have a loth-kitty?" She asked.

"I'm home!" We heard Sabine call.

"Ask your mom." I told Astrid.
