Ch:11 Prison Danger

As we walked along the road Carl walked close beside me and said "your one tough girl, I'll give you that". He continued and asked "how will we get the medical supplies if the prison is over run"? I looked at him and said "I'll think of a plan".

Daryl asked "how is your arm"? I looked back and said "fine". Rick said "Prison should be just up ahead". I smiled and said "ok".

I started to run and everybody followed me. We came up to the treeline and looked at the hundreds of walkers surrounding the prison. I went to take a step forward, but Daryl grabbed my arm. He said "we could find a hospital, I'm not letting you go in there". I smiled and said "I love you, but I have to or else my cut might get infected".

I put my hand over his and slid it off of my shoulder. I kissed Daryl's forehead and said "dont worry". I looked at Carl and pulled him aside. I said "if anything happens to me I need you to look after Daryl". He said "ok" and grabbed my hand. He said "please come back safe". I smiled and put my lips close to his ear. I whispered "I'll see you when I get back". Then I kissed his cheek.

He put his hand on my cheek and said "we will wait here for you". I watched as he tried to hold back tears, but he couldnt.I wiped the tears from Carl's face and I said "dont worry about me, I'll be ok". He said "well I want you here with me". I grabbed his hand that was on my cheek and I removed it. I said "I have to do this". He cried even more and I said " I dont want to live without you".

Rick smiled at me and Carl  then said "take this". He handed me a Samuri sword and he said "we found this in a gun store, take it". I smiled and said "thank you". I looked back at Daryl who had tears sliding down his cheeks. I gave Daryl one last hug then I had to go. 

As I walked away I said "I love you Daryl". A single tear fell down my cheek, but I wiped it away. I continued to walk towards the prison and tried not to look back. As I walked I cut off the top half of thw walkers brains. I smiled as I got closer to the prison.

A swarm started to chase me so I ran into the hole in the gate. As I got chased I heard Daryl and Carl both scream my name in paniced voices. I walked up to a set of doors, but it was locked. A horde was coming after me so I made a quick turn to the right and pushed in another set of doors. They opened so I quickly ran inside and shut the doors behind me.

I walked down the hallway and heard them growling at the door. I kept walking and looked into a window. A walker was standing there looking at me. I looked back and looked into it's face. I felt bad that this happened to this walker for some reason. Just looking at him made my stomachs turn into knots.

I swung the Samuri sword through the window and it impaled the walkers head. I pulled it out and began to run to pick up speed. I walked around a corner and seen a door with a sign on if. The sign said "Infirmary".

I opened the door and looked inside. I walked over to a medical cabinet and opened it. I grabbed all of the gauze pads, the medical tape, and disinfectant. I put them in my backpack so I wouldnt lose them. I went to turn around when a walker sprung out and attacked me. It bit down on my sword just missing my hand. As it crawled ontop of me I sliced  it's stomach open then stabbed it through the head.

His blood and intestines poured all over me. I just laid there breathing heavily and staring in shock. I cheaked myself for bites, but there were none. I got up and looked towards the door. The walkers from outside broke in and were standing at the entrance of the door. I panicked because I couldnt fight them all.

After I counted them I said "there are over 20 of them". I cried and said "Daryl, Rick, Carl... I love you all". They began to swarm the room. My heart pounded and I closed my eyes. The moans and groans filled the room, but they werent attacking me.
